DTR's Fresh sludge breakroom... 15-21 May

Ain't opened one in a while...

Sludge is ready for the am. Maybe some fried grit cakes and bacon for breakfast, too.

Good thing I sharpened my knife last night. Made cutting a slice of the coffee easier.....

Got a bit of rain last night..... So much for a clean truck.

Got a call from my Dad last night. He Starts Chemo tomorrow. I could tell by his voice he is worried. He was diagnosed with a blood cancer about a year ago and the meds haven't been doing much to help. They are planning on 4-9 months of Chemo for him.......

Crossing my fingers for a quiet workday. It is Sunday.....

Morning from Marshall Tx

Back on the job, had a good trip up. Stuck in a Super 8 for the time being. Found a 2 Bedroom furnished house for rent, looking to get into one next week.

Back to work this afternoon. ZzzZZzZzzz When the sky is blue and the temp is in the 80's with no wind...I feel like I am getting a cold...allergy, flu, something to stop me from going. [sigh], I better go since I am the only one there this afternoon. hmmmm....streaming video for hockey, recliner, AC.
Good to go.

Have a great wk folks.

Chopped off a piece of coffee to go with the [censored]. Thanks Hat.

You got it, Scotty.

Afternoon, DTR. Made some cheese grilled hot dogs, they were tasty. Currently self medicating to dull the knee pain, it's a screamer today. 3/4 bottle of crown has quieted it down a bit, but I still walk like Lary.

Howdy folks.
Hope everyone had a great weekend so far.

Mine was 3 weeks long,
Gotta go back to work tomorrow.

Next vacation, Memorial Day weekend.
But that's Rolling Thunder weekend here.
A couple of days spent welcoming thousands of Bike riding Vets to the DC area.

Have a great week.

Good choice on the home meds. Fine brand from a fine country. Walking like Lary seems to be a common thing with dtr members. MRI was done on my left knee. Tech called the closest doc to look while I waited in the tube. Asks me where my knee cap was/is. LOL I told him I have several tiny ones embedded in the patella tendon. Asked if I had any pain. I told him my right arm was sore from being folded over my head while I am stuck in this tube and he asks all these questions.
I see the surgeon AGAIN on the 26th. Pass the jug man.

evening everyone. slept in this morning and then went to breakfast with the wife and our friend from Indy. Came back to the house and got the mowing done this afternoon. Mom came by with a few things of grandpa's that she wanted me to have and to show me some of his WWII things.

Man, that's funny, but sad. The pain I carry is nothing compared to what my grandfather carries around on a day to day basis. Don't even know why I complain.

Evenin, DTR. Tried to pull out a semi tonight that was stuck in the sand, I knew I was not going to budge him, but I tried. Then, I found out he was loaded... 80k... not on sand, I'm not even going to come close. I got stuck as crap too, but I got out no prob.

Gonna be cleaning out my truck for a week, forgot the most important thing about pulling someone out.

Roll up your windows.

He got to see everyone one last time so I think he felt like it was his time to go.
Matt, been praying from here. I'm relieved he went so peaceful.

Thanks Rick!

Mark, just take your time and give the truck a good wash. You'll get all the crud off of it. Rent a good steam cleaner too, that'll get the klinkers off the seats and carpet.
