good afternoon DTR. Went out with the GF today for lunch and looking around at a few stores. Went to Circiut city today and I'm thinkin of buying a new tv. Found a couple nice plasmas and lcds on sale. Currently they have 10% off tv since they are going out of business. I'm thinkin of getting a 47 inch tv and I really like the looks of the plasma.

Fix the door on the truck today, the cold weather caused a few door clips to get brittle and break. So the panel was falling off, got new clips and put her back together just a little bit ago.

might go watch some football, might go lay down too. been feelin kinda out of sorts the last couple days,

 

Finally gettin a break. Seems one of the phone companies flooded out a main hub. We have a couple counties without 911 and LEIN. Had to check all the counties and state ploice posts in the district to see who was actually out of service in case they can't call. Had to hit them with radio checks, fortunately the affected counties had chosen to join our 800 mhz system. The Nuc Plant is hitting us with 1/2 hour radio checks until it's cleared up. Gonna be a long night. Brought my famous spaghetti in though and coffee's hot so dig in.

 

Evenin everyone.. Just checking in during the Steelers and Ravens commercial break.. Got me a "Grown Up Soda" and bag of chips.. Does it get anybetter? So when does the Fluffysquatch get out of Gizmo?

 

Boy, what a busy day in here. Matt, the Circuit City in B'ham went out of business just before Christmas. By the time they were done, the discounts were 70%. I'd look at Sears also. They always mark down last years models to clear out their inventory before bringing in this year's models.

Thanks T-rad, I will check out sears. I was actually thinkin of waitin a little while to get the tv from CC because i know they get bigger discounts before they close up. The GF also has friend that work at the CC by me, and he alraedy get a nice discount so we're going to see if it work with the current 10% too.

 

we love out plasma screen. period. just never bump the screen- all the money gone then. be a little wary about Circuit city offerings...good luck!

good day, games went nicely! underdog won and steeler fan since Lynn Swan held the amazing reception. hate being Heidi when they cut the last four minutes out of the game. geesh not my fault the network scheduled the movie 'Heidi' to come on...... all the old timers point that out...

inaug. day too cold for me to go down there Friday, stand for like 14 hours straight. Owner of company I got invite through got pretty good stuff and nice video of entertainers at a party. no amount of money is being held back.

No worries, Bobby... I talked about it a little... not much. I left on the 14th, and I'll be here till mid July. I'm at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. It's a 6 month deployment. We will always have them here, or close to it... we're planning on moving this thing to Guam soon, 2012, I think. We are here to maintain a presence so that North Korea and China (mainly) don't try any funny stuff.

Yeah, we took a plane over, not too bad... it took us 18 hours including the layover in Alaska... I have a web cam, and Angie and I talked on it today for the first time since I got here. She's pretty sad, and so am I, but I think we'll make it. The kids have been out of it, too.

So... Morning, DTR.... Not too much going on Today, we're on a long weekend for MLK. Got up this am, ran, ate, not too much else. I'm gonna go look for a job tomorrow, I think. Pay off some of those go fast truck bills...

I think somebody played a joke on Claude with some raw fish once...

Got the next 2 days off myself. Gotta change the oil and work on the tractor. Gotta drink a beer to celebrate the holiday too, since they gave me a day off.

 

Night shift making the rounds and all is quiet.. Coffee is not quite burnt yet, so leave it alone for another hour, donuts are bedded down and snoring peacefully.

The BOSS turned 39, again( 10th time) yesterday, so took her out for a nice dinner, but couldtn get her to ask about the SR discount! Got a hold of the waitress before we were seated and when The Boss got ready to order, teh waitress started reading the menu to her.. The BOSS asked what she was doing , and the waitress replied that she knew how hard teh small print on teh menu was for older people to read...
Everyone cracked up except THE BOSS, and needless to say i am gonna hear about that for awhile

Other than that, very little going on around these parts..

WOW - - all the northerners must be frozen in this morning - - no coffee on. Oh well, here we go - - coffee, hot water for tea, almond mocha ph00, OJ in the box (you will have to sort thru all that other crap to find it), Cinnabuns on the counter right now - - don't know about 10 minutes from now - - saw some pretty big critters around - - killed a couple but quit, took too long to clean up afterwards.

Sun is up - - 58 in the lanai - - a cool front moving in for the next few days and then back into the 70's - - can't wait - - neither can the orchids - - they are whining to go out.

OK, no one around so I am gone - - things to do and places to go and some wars to win. Have a gunurn.
