Just one side. Putting up 1x pine siding. Built my own truss' which took a little more time. Got a deal I couldn't beat on a load 2x6 last year.

Coffee's ready for the early birds.

WE BE BACK. Good trip except for the stupid car - - spend $1100 dollars on it and it still does the same thing - - won't run with one foot on the gas and one on the brake. DUH. Hey hey, here's a sucker - - let's change out all the expensive stuff before we fix the cheap things. Fixed it myself after 1000 miles of driving it like that when I got to my son's place in Jacksonville and had tools. Should have done it myself in the first place - - took a can of throttle body cleaner. Good to have two smart sons on these new cars with sensors everywhere. I couldn't even find the carb on the dumb thing. Oh yeh, it has injectors.

Hey, met our new little two month old granddaughter. Wow, let me tell you about my granddaughter - - she is all ready quoting the alphabet, can work complex differential equations and change her own diapers. Just can't figure out how to get her meals from anyone but mama yet, but she is working on it. Seriously, she is a cutie.

And, we ate too much also. But it was sooooo good. Had fun spending time with the son and his wife and a granddaughter who came over from FSU to see her uncle and Nana and Grandy - - really neat to see her - - she is too far away from us right now, but she is doing soooo good. Fun to watch.

Looks like everyone is still in one piece so I will grab a cup and run - - lots to do before heading back out on Monday for another trip. Taking the truck this time - - phooeee on these dumb cars without a diesel engine.

Well i see 5er checked in alive & well > in-spite of car problems >
(Bob) another common thing often missed on these new cars>
when we start getting higher miles on them &and mileage tanks is (O2 censor)
their not bad enough to throw codes but bad enough to send incorrect info to computer , thus ending up with incorrect fuel mixture . change that along with plugs & wires and mileage comes back to what it use to be !
Another mileage issue often overlooked is transmissions > if you can find a reputable teck or mechanic > have a transmission tune up >
change oil & filter as well as adjust bands &some have kick down cable from throttle that knead adjustment > if its out of adjustment it allows for some slippage and no matter how efficient your engine is running your wasting it at the transition !
OK OFF MY SOAP BOX
YE ALL HAVE A GOOD ONE

Talking

or bring out the speedos......VERY good to hear though !!! life is precious even if we eat too much...hehe

LD (like that!) I have a stock 1946 ****** jeep. beat it up and it still loves me.
not a museum piece but a steady worker for the 30 years i have had it. did paint over the original civilian green paint (OD minus the black) with corvette blue in 1980. still there, no peeling or rust- despite here in central New york.
can you tell I love my jeep? bout as much as Fiver does his granbabe! hehe

hubby got a deer- with his .45 colt pistol sidearm. deer poked it's nose in the blind from the side. white beard got whiter...heheh
the lasek surgery (which he loved!) was on one eye so he could read without glasses. found out that can't see the sights close up on the sidearm.
being retired LEO lieutenant, glad he still could point and shoot. LOL desk boy...

Madhat is banned from the breakroom, until he learns some manners....

hay Matt! something special about beer in the barn (garage) when working on mechanical stuff, add friends even better. like heaven for the working class.....

some gov work, Court paperwork and wait till son goes to work to use the apartment kitchen to cut up the deer, big doe....or not. button buck. long night ahead but fun to have food in the freezer, we are truly Blessed!

son went in for Black Friday shoppers (does computer stuff at night for walmart) for 13 hour shift. ALL night shift workers sent to walmart in next county- 60 miles away. unusual for this union steward of long ago...

Heidi off to get to the paperwork......GO TIDE! yay Green bay!!!! now if Buffalo can kick miami's dolphin, it would be cool.

Morning Fellow DTRonians

Leave for a couple of days and man does everyone fall off the wagon.

Hope everyone had a SAFE and HAPPY THANKSGIVING and sorry for not dropping in and saying Hi.

Been busy lately with haying and Dr.s appointments. Just stopping in to say hi.

Oh and its getting quite cold around here. Dropped down into the low 40's Friday. Even had a spot of frost on the windshield..... Ah!, I just love wintertime.

Know... WHAT? That I felt like an engorged tick? Or that it was Christmas for my tummy? Or that I had/have gas? Clarify son, CLARIFY!

I come from 'up there'... sorta. Near there. Well, closer to 'there' than 'here' at least. And I go back 'there' quite often, so don't be surprised when I show up on your door step!

You going to get the snowblower hooked up to it this year?

Um... why would you WANT it to run that way? That's not a good driving practice anyway.

Frost? In Louisiana? Doesn't that constitute a state of emergency or something?

Afternoon all. Sorry, no history report today. Had to be up and gone too early to hack down a few trees for a friend a couple of towns over. Done now, all tired.

I take pretty good care of all the rest of the stuff - - this one was new to me. I was looking for the big 4 barrel Holley under there - - ain't one. I know how to rebuild that - - this stuff I don't.

Yeh, well driving around a corner without the engine running is not a good driving habit either - - wow that thing turns hard.

Catching up on "stuff" around here and dropped in for another cup - - tired. Back to foooootball. Go Gators? or FSU? Granddaughter is in FSU - - I'm torn. Want to see Gator in the final game - - FSU can't make it. Soooo, GO GATORS. YEH.

You really need to look into some new hearing aids.

Chaikwa, I didn't want to talk to you anyway.
