This was just a kit, nothing special. I really want to hit some of the real stuff here in town. I know where there is a really good place, but I have not made it over there yet.

Dang pain pills are breaking me off... not helping for the pain, but is making me want to nod off.

Evening DTR, slept till 0800 today. Didn't sleep well though, my shoulder has been botheringme alot lately. Went to the grocery store this morning with the wife to get some food for the small cookout we had this afternoon. We had a few friends over to eat and watch the 500 today. Had a good time!

Relaxing now and enjoying a cold one.

Nice try Lary, but we all know what you meant!

Morning all.

Today is Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st.

On this day in 1854 - The Kansas-Nebraska Act passed by the U.S. Congress.

1870 - E.J. DeSemdt patented asphalt.

1884 - Dr. John Harvey Kellogg patented "flaked cereal."

1889 - In Johnstown, PA, more than 2,200 people died after the South Fork Dam collapsed.

1900 - U.S. troops arrived in Peking to help put down the Boxer Rebellion.

1907 - The first taxis arrived in New York City. They were the first in the United States.

1909 - The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) held its first conference.

1913 - The 17th Amendment went into effect. It provided for popular election of U.S. senators.

1915 - A German zeppelin made an air raid on London.

1926 - Frank Lockhart won the 14th Indy 500. He averaged 95.9 mph.

1927 - Ford Motor Company produced the last "Tin Lizzie" in order to begin production of the Model A.

1947 - Communists seized control of Hungary.

1955 - The U.S. Supreme Court ordered that all states must end racial segregation "with all deliberate speed."

1962 - Adolf Eichmann was hanged in Israel. Eichmann was a Gestapo official and was executed for his actions in the **** Holocaust.

1977 - The trans-Alaska oil pipeline was finished after 3 years of construction.

1994 - The U.S. announced it was no longer aiming long-range nuclear missiles at targets in the former Soviet Union.

2003 - In North Carolina, Eric Robert Rudolph was captured. He had been on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list for five years for several bombings including the 1996 Olympic bombing.

's on. Tea and ph00 too. Maybe Claude will show his face around here if I put the tea on.

Let's not forget why today is Memorial Day.

Happy Memorial Day, so nice to see those Colors fly!!!

service yesterday was awesome, but heart ripping if you saw the family. We were all advised NOT to look at anything until we have performed our duty first. Sang clear and strong (why someone picks "I'm Already Home" ...)but had tears just streaming down my face, even the Army's funeral detail was not immune. Then I drove over to where my parents were at rest, to see the new memorial bench. it was worth the three year hassle- definitely. lot of miles to think but not a long day.

got to whip up some picnic food then off to see if we can become rednecks as we try to move two mobile homes with our dodge cummins one ton 130,000 mile truck. while my practical guess is 'no traction', I can see where the 48RE tranny will fall out. of course, my husband is the junk yard king of 'yeah, I can do that'. My friends and the homeowner are more practical, but beer will be involved on this 90 degree day.....

my personal goal is to re attach the line pulley on the 30 foot flagpole the homeowner has, so he can fly his always new American flag. (bad storm fouled the line). so let see if 210 pounds can still shimmy UP a four inch flag pole.......America's funniest Video or 9-1-1.....

Morning all. I'll pass on the sludge and the spiced donuts. Maybe have to settle for sweet tea this AM.

You northern guys please keep your pets on a leash so the tourists don't shoot them.

Sorry to see all the injuries and illness going around. Let's stay as safe as we can.

I liked the quote that I saw the other day in someone's signature. It said -

"If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank a vet."

Let's remember those who paid for the freedoms that we enjoy.

Play safe today.

Hey, it's a holiday - - Thanks all those that served to help keep our freedom. Now the battle is on our own shores to keep our freedom - - BUT, that is another part of the forum. I know.

Not even a cry from me this morning, if ya know what I mean. LOL

Heat is good.
I knew something was wrong with you the first time I met you. Hot sauce and spheres - - - really weird, boy.

His kids are drip-dry. Don't wrinkle either, unlike their daddy.

Gorgeous day down here, just right. Pool is perfect temp, warm sun for a good tan, flowers are nuts and driving me nuts. Guess I will go enjoy - - don't see the ph00 on, so making some and get on down the road. See ya.
