Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We talked to him this morning and he is safe. That is all he could tell us. We are still awaiting to hear about friends

Excellent news, Eric - - thanks for letting us know. God, protect our fighting forces in harms way to keep us free. Amen.

I haven't honestly kept up with this thread, but I come to you all with a small request. If you could hold up my cousin and his wife in your thoughts and prayers, it would be appreciated. She was 5 months pregnant with their 2nd son, would have been third child, Jackson Grant, when they got the bad news. The umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck and put an end to his life before we had a chance to enjoy his presence. They held the funeral for him yesterday and I think I summed it up pretty well when I told my wife that it was the saddest funeral I have ever attended for someone I never had the pleasure of meeting.
I am just asking for strength and comfort in their lives right now, as I can not imagine the world of hurt that they are feeling. Their names are Ryan and Kimberly if you could think of them when you bow your head.
Thanks,
Pat

That is very traumatic, Pat. I know the parents-to-be can really wonder what and why. We can't second guess God's timing. Prayers for them are going up.

Thanks all, as I said to Rick in PM my cousin is the youth pastor at the church and they both have strong faith in the Lord, which has helped them through this. It is hard to see God's will sometimes, but we have to know that there is a plan in place.
Thanks again for the support

Prayer request needed.
My mom called me this evening and said that Grandma Brahs had passed away this evening @ 1815 today. Dad's sister and he have been on non speaking terms for YEARS and she called to let him know what had happened 2 hours after she had passed and the nursing home never did call. The last phone call he had with Grandma was not all that good (she said some hurtful things) but I told him that was not her, that was the drugs they had her on (she was pretty ornery!) She lived a full life and it was almost 16 years to the day (Thanksgiving was 16 years) that Granddad had passed. She was 82 years old. Pray that Aunt Donna finds Christ and that my dad and she can patch things up. I wished I could be up there for pops. Thank you in advance. I am going to take a little vacation from DTR for a day or so and be with my kids as much as I can before the Dallas trip on Monday night. Thank you in advance and God Bless
