Bob, maybe we can do a little jerry-rigging with the weather up here. Then you can make up a couple of igloos for all to camp out in...

Mornin' All!
-21* and I still have fuel in my oil........
Actually it was interesting not gross. Not quite what I expected but then again, I'm not sure what to expect from Pumpkin fudge. There was none left at the end of shift last night.........
Got home last night and Mama had the tree and decorations all down waiting for me to put them back where they belong. She also rearranged the furniture. had to watch my step in the dark this AM.

2300 hrs and all's well........
Wifey and I have the day 'off' tomorrow.
All the contractors rescheduled to Wednesday, daughter is off so no Grandbaby to watch.
We finally get to spend some us time together.
Early breakfast out, then shopping.......

Morning. My day off today, but guess where I'm at. At least there is coffee. Pull up the janitor's new log splitter and lop off a slice... still haven't seen the donuts. They must've really been offended earlier. Think they'll be back?

That "Us time" doesn't do anything but get you in trouble. Or another little one

Morning.
It's Tuesday, December 28th.
On this day in 1732 - "The Pennsylvania Gazette," owned by Benjamin Franklin, ran an ad for the first issue of "Poor Richard’s Almanack."
1832 - John C. Calhoun became the first vice president of the United States to resign, stepping down over differences with President Jackson.
1836 - Mexico's independence was recognized by Spain.
1846 - Iowa became the 29th state to be admitted to the Union.
1869 - William E. Semple, of Mt. Vernon, OH, patented an acceptable chewing gum.
1877 - John Stevens applied for a patent for his flour-rolling mill, which boosted production by 70%.
1912 - The first municipally-owned street cars were used on the streets of San Francisco, CA.
1945 - The U.S. Congress officially recognized the "Pledge of Allegiance."
1973 - The Chamber of Commerce of Akron, OH, terminated its association with the All-American Soap Box Derby. It was stated that the race had become "a victim of cheating and fraud."
1995 - Pressure from German prosecutors investigating pornography forced CompuServe to set a precedent by blocking access to sex-oriented newsgroups on the Internet for its customers.
2000 - U.S. District Court Judge Matsch held a hearing to ensure that confessed Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh understood that he was dropping his appeals. McVeigh said that he wanted an execution date, set but wanted to reserve the right to seek presidential clemency.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
How many people thought of the Post-It note before it was invented but just didn't have anything to jot it down on?

vacation is progressing nicely... woke up this morning and couldn't remember what day it was...
I did have a thought as I was looking over another forum.
Why is bailing wire such a good thing, but hay wire isn't?

Mornin' All!
Havin' a heat wave up here this AM. -4*F
Tired today. Friends came back form Christmas vacation late last night and I picked them up at the airport. No such thing as an early arrival time up here.
Work smells like sewage again. This time it isn't breakfast either.
Where did that logsplitter coffee go?
