DTR and Java ?

Yesterday, DTR quit working on my AT&T PDA phone. When I try to open a thread it tells me that I need to enable javascript. I don't remember disabling it...... How do I turn it back on?

Go to the internet explorer settings, much like on your computer's IE and try enabling there. Should be pretty Straight-Foward.

I tried that, but there is no option. I have even reset the phone to outta-the-box and that didn't fix it. According to HTC support, it is built into the Win Mobile operating system. They say it is a problem with the DTR site, but Larry says no changes have been made. It's just strange that it worked yesterday morning, but not yesterday afternoon.

We haven't made any changes during the timeframe you mention. Javascript must be enabled to view the site. The only other thing I could tell you to do is clear your cache and your cookies, then try again.

These help center guys are pretty sharp, but I have yet to find one that knows everything.
I cleared the cookies and the cache. Before I reset the device, I couldn't even get the Java games to work, but now they do. I dunno, strange problem.........

You may think I’m nuts (no need to go there)…… but this has worked for me in the past on my laptop, so why would it not work on a phone. Turn the phone off and pull the battery. Let it set for a few minutes and restart.

It has its little pea brain all confused you just need to let it power down to clear its head.

I went back to AT&T today about my Java problem. We used a brand new phone and it had the same "Enable Java" problem that mine does when trying to read posts on DTR. I downloaded Mini-Opera, and DTR works fine on it. The guy at the AT&T store has subimitted a request to MS Mobile to explain the problem. They replied that it would be Monday before they could respond. He also asked them why it was working one time and quit the next.

I thought this thread was going to be about Javaluva. Sadly, it is not.

... happily, the subject of concrete bedliners never arose.

This almost has to be a change by the MS Mobile people. Last week when I was able to read posts, I done a backup to my storage card in the phone even after doing the restore and a hard restart, it still doesn't work. Hopefully MS will fix this...............
