DTR as of 27 seconds ago was up to these numbers Threads: 97,927, Posts: 999,750.

That million post mark is getting close, so lets all count down to that magical number.

In the beginning, there were prizes for members that made a certain number. Example: Jack and Lary picked a landmark nuber like 10,000. If Luken was that member number, He won an item from a sponsor.

Top, do I remember that correctly?
Did you have one for a certain post number as well?

Hmmm...I don't recall that. They did have a drawing for prizes for people who contributed money to the site, but I don't recall prizes just for number of posts.

How about those prizes for people that donate? I think some of these wealthy sponsers should contact Lary and make a deal for some new drawings!

Mike we did a thing where we took donations from members that wanted to get involved in secret and sent Jack some money when we hit 3,000 members. At the time he was running the place out of his pocket and we wanted to help with the equipment costs.

It was a big surprise to Jack as a bunch of us did this behind his back via PM's and everyone kept it a secret.

We also ran a contest to see who could guess the date of the 3000 member would join. The winner did receive a new Air Intake thanks to our own beloved Scotty.

Also Quadzilla donated some intakes that we gave away in a drawing of names from the server donation list. That was REAL popular.

It is too late to start something now for the million post mark, but I think it is time to pick another mark of some kind and have another contest, that was fun

Wow just seems like yesterday, and now we are doing close to 40 million hits a month with almost 2000 members online at the same time every evening.

Jack and I just bought a new server last year with the help of so many that donated, and we are already looking at doing another equipment upgrade so we can stay ahead of the curve.

I wish you guys could see all the email we receive thanking us for running the site the way we do. I know we can all see the handful of guys who get disgruntled and vent because things aren't the way they want it, but the good comments outnumber the bad by 100%.

We must be doing something right because our growth is phenomenal and it is growing a faster rate every day! I used to see 20 new members a day, now I see 40 and even 50 a day.

Thanks to all the great people who are here everyday sharing your knowledge and experiences, this site is all about the info and we certainly have a lot of that here.

yea this site is big and growing but i wanted to show you how bored some of our local racing can be.

site was only started in april of 03 and here is our stats as of today. That is some serious post-wh**ing (lack of a better term) there.
