FO, that's pretty good. It's a good thing that the guy was just a bumbling drunk, or that bird shot might not have stopped him.

I keep two high impact hollow point slugs in first, then 00 behind it...

just another one of those articles for the "bird shot is lethal" group...

its nice to see it turned out ok for the home owner as long as he doesn't end up in civil court.

there are lessons to be learned here... Anyone from michigan wanna try one??
I have to drive by that suspects motel residence almost daily. Forced his way in, being drunk's not a defense. Presidence has already been set in Kent County (Grand Rapids) a few years back. Similar situation, drunk person getting into back door, later claiming to have been lost and confused. Survived shooting and charged.

I see your .40 and raise
I carry the XD, but the 1911 is the home pistol/ range pistol.

Yeah, I keep some hollow points in there now. I'm not a big 1911 fan.

I do want to get the single stack 45 that glock makes, the G36.

the 1911 is more of one of those guns you get out of tradition. everyone has a 1911 at one time or another. the only thing it has going for it in carry is its thin. The XD you need an extra pants size to wear IWB.

Yeah, maybe when I'm rich. I want that single stack because the OL can carry that in her purse, or I can CC it.

I've done both, go for the vacuum.

Evening all.

Long day. Up at 3AM, drove 300 miles north, cruised 2 80 acre woodlots, marked trees for commercial thinning, drove south 250 miles, picked up a new old generator/welder, then finally got home 15 minutes ago.

Bed time.

Dang, Scott, what a day! It's a little early for bed tho, don't you think?

Afternooner. Finally got off my dead rear, cleaning my man cave out a little. Thinking about cracking open a cold one.

There are lessons but I dont think the bad guy learned any. I love the part where he is saying "I don't think you can shoot someone who is unarmed,". He is saying it from a hospital bed recovering from being shot so apparently he thought wrong.

Everybody seems tired around here today. Must be nap time--again.

Think I'm going to do the same. What shotgun is that Mark, an Remington or a Mossy? I got an 870 Rem for my home defence.20 inch barrel and 7 round mag tube with 00 buck.

Evening DTR. Cruddy here today, got rain all day so the snow on the ground is slush now. Tonight it's suppose to get below freezing and a snow storm is gonna pass through. That should make the roads a mess.

Took mom to run some errands today, she hates driving in the crud weather. been cleaning up an SKS the last few days that i got on a trade. Not a bad gun but it's been modified some. I think it's a good canidate to put back to original form.
