Of course you wouldn't. You're greedy and want all that for yourself.

Oh gee - - only made it -35 last night - - that is sooooo much better than the -45 predicted. I feel much warmer now. Tell ya what, Marc - - once it passed 20 below, I don't feel a whole lot of difference. In fact, I don't feel much at all.

Warming up here - - nice. Lanai here I come. YEH.

Very true there 5ver. After -20* it's really just another number to complain about. Of course in a week or so when it warms up to 0* it'll feel lime a heat wave!

Good morning. Where is the coffee, or whatever passes for coffee here? Found what I think may be the coffee pot, but whatever is in there is set solid. Could be epoxy as it would not even chip out.

Freezing here this morning with a wind chill of 4 C. Yeah, yeah, I know, it is not as cold as where some of you live, but relatively speaking, it is freezing down here. Fiver and others, quit blowing that cold stuff this way! At least by about 10 ish it warms up enough for me to change out of my jeans and back into shorts.

Is it my imagination or is winter hitting early, hard and furious over most of the states and Canada this year?

Update: Was outside a short while ago and discovered a tiny bit of frost on my truck. Could even see my breath. Very unusual for down here in Paradise. Was going out to work on the fiver, but that can wait for an hour until the rising sun warms things up a bit.

Yeah, you've told me that. I've never had the time to go poking around tho.

Morning all.

Today is Friday, December 10th. Only 14 days and 16 hours 'til Christmas!

On this day in 1817 - Mississippi was admitted to the Union as the 20th American state.

1851 - American librarian Melvil Dewey was born. He created the "Dewey Decimal Classification" system.

1906 - U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt became the first American to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, for helping mediate an end to the Russo-Japanese War.

1941 - Japan invaded the Philippines.

1941 - The Royal Naval battleships Prince of Wales and Repulse were sunk by Japanese aircraft in the Battle of Malaya.

1953 - Hugh Hefner published the first "Playboy" magazine with an investment of $7,600.

1958 - The first domestic passenger jet flight took place in the U.S. when 111 passengers flew from New York to Miami on a National Airlines Boeing 707.

1990 - The U.S. Food & Drug Administration approved Norplant, a long-acting contraceptive implant.

1994 - Advertising executive Thomas Mosser of North Caldwell, NJ, was killed by a mail bomb that was blamed on the Unabomber.

1995 - The first U.S. Marines arrived in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo to join NATO soldiers sent to enforce peace in the former Yugoslavia.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why is it when a door is open it's ajar, but when a jar is open it's not adoor?

Fresh coffee has been made to stop Stan from whining. Tea for Claude and ph00 phor phiverBob.

Yep. Tuesday night. Lotsa snow thru PA and OH. Went the lower route and stayed out of NY to avoid the 4 feet they had in Syracuse.

Supposed to be up your way tomorrow in Jordan going over Mark's piece of property with a forester for a timber sale. Have to wait and see what the weather does tho.

I'll be working 8a-4p. Stop by for a cup when you come through. Was contemplating making a run down next weekend, but my brother needs me to help move. He just bought a house, but has a torn bicep. I'll know better as it gets closer and see how the weather is.
