I think what he's saying Claude, is that he's going to eliminate the constant velocity joint by installing an adapter plate that will convert it to conventional u-joints.

And The Back End Of The Front Driveshaft Has That Dubble U-joint With A Ball In The Center- But Not Velosity Joints

Have To Keep A Close Eye Out When Looking > What Year Did They Switch Over To Velosity Joints Or Did They Do It Mid Year ?

 

All WJ's had them until '02. In 02, some v8's started coming with with U's up front.

If you're shopping for a WJ, test the climate controls in any Limited model. The blend doors break down and dealer charges towards $500 to repair as the whole dash needs to come out. Don't let it discourage you, because there is a backdoor fix that's cheaper, but a little tedious. Just keep in mind for deal leverage.
