Ya, it was freaky!!! The guy was completely serious and I played along cause I thought it was a joke. Someone over heard our conversation; which was composed of arguing about the babies health, eye color, and age, called the police.

My brother and my buddies showed up in the car and the police were questioning me and the other guy and were very riled up, as one could imagine.

The bad thing is I had just enough beer in me that I could not keep a straight face and the cops was less than humored by the situation.

Excellent! The only problem with some of the programs, is that we've drilled 'stop, drop and roll' into their heads so much that they've lost the meaning of it. Ask a lot of kids her age what to do if their house catches on fire and they'll respond 'stop, drop and roll'. They have the words down pat, but not the understanding of the message. That's what we're working on correcting now.

Morning all.

Early day again.

Today is Wednesday, October 14th.

1933 - **** Germany announced that it was withdrawing from the League of Nations.

1936 - The first SSB (Social Security Board) office opened in Austin, TX. From this point, the Board's local office took over the assigning of Social Security Numbers.

1943 - The Radio Corporation of America finalized the sale of the NBC Blue radio network. Edward J. Noble paid $8 million for the network that was renamed American Broadcasting Company.

1944 - German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel committed suicide rather than face execution after being accused of conspiring against Adolf Hitler and the execution that would follow.

1944 - During World War II, the Second British Parachute Brigade liberated the city of Athens.

1960 - U.S. presidential candidate John F. Kennedy first suggested the idea of a Peace Corps.

Painted

And finished, ready to be moved into and decorated as Thomas the Tank Engine.

Aiden says "Mr. Scott, I went to fire saftey today at school and had a lot of fun. We learned how to crawl under the smoke and get out of the house if its on fire."

Bout to relax and eat supper, then watch a movie with the wife.

Yall take it easy now Ya Hear!

Nice job on the room overhaul! Nice proud looking papa and son their Blake.

I look forward to fire prevention week. We go to all the schools and eat lunch with the kids, then give classes and tours of the apparatus , stations, gear and all the other good stuff.

A home fire safety plan is also important! Nothing gets to me more on this planet then rolling up on a worker and getting reports of kids trapped in the building. Educate you kids now, save their lives later.

Off rant, LOL

Thankfully we have a good FD here. The first thing they teach the little ones is if the house(school, office, whatever) is on fire is to get out. No pets, toys or anything. When they Firefighter giving the tour asked what the first thing to do in a fire was 75% of the kids (Kindergartners) said "get out". Not too bad. Then they moved on to S.D& R......

Off to run a few errands this AM. Nightshift starts tomorrow......

I tell that to everybody. And it has nothing to do with fire safety!

Heidi-dwi, domestic
assault and meth crimes are
most prevalent. We are starting to see more
gang related crime but I'm sure
it is
different than in other cities. Sux Looking tough on
a street corner at -40...

First post from my new iPhone.... Cool to surf while waiting to pick up the kid from school.

Evening DTR.

Got dads utility cart back together today. I ended up being able to straighten the front axle so he didn't have to buy one. Got it all together and running again. Worked on the farmall for a little while today. Looks like we're still going to fire it up tomorrow for the first time in almost 5 years. Only thing we have to install is the battery box and hook the cables up to it. Sheet metal is off until we get the diesel system bled and make sure nothing its leaking or wrong after starting it. Gonna have to find another project after the tractor is done. Think we might fix a few things on the loader tractor and maybe repaint it next. The loader has only 850 hrs on it but is 20 yrs old and spent most of its life in the weather.

The wife is feeling better today but still has the crud. Gonna go pick up dinner for her and I tonight. She wants food from the resturant down the road but doesn't wanna go anywhere, so it's carry out tonight.

Good luck, saw a nice 7x7 in the back of somebody's truck on the highway tonight. I don't think our season has opened, probably coming off a game farm.

Nightshift here, dragon stoked. Coffee's hot.
