So you don't have a lift pump mounted on the firewall, inside the engine compartment? Mine had two bowls, one under the filter, left side of the engine and the other was on the bottom of the pump, on the firewall. You had to know it was there because it was an absolute pain to get to. It had what looked like a wing nut on the bottom to drain it and it always had water in it. Probably because it didn't get serviced like it should because of the location.

I really didn't need to know there was an old man in his speedos pageant. TMI and a bad mental picture.
What old man, Rick? Speedos? You talking about those pink ones Scotty wears all the time? As for the mental picture - - - you should be soooo lucky as a mental picture of me. YAH.

OK, work and running is over for the day - - now back to practise one more time - - it was a little rough last night - - hopefully better tonight. Sound system was definitely having one of its "not so good" nights.

Put a fresh ph00 on - - pretty old and thick. Done - - have some - - ummmmm, good.

Bob

Wink

thanks for the fresh pot, SuperSingingBOB! ChrisR's feet might be better served up against AKPaul's woodstove.......

Safe travels Cincy (who may have more going on in kentucky than we think, hehehe play banjo music now)j/k

chaikwa- if you just TELL the service repair person to visit you, you would not have to go through all this supposed trouble with the JCB....
heated cabs with radios are for wusses, anyways.

JBJARK son! thoughts of you common, hope all is better than good!!

woo hoo! snow! used to open car doors (1965 buick skylark when it was a big car) hang on through the open windows and ski down the empty Downtown Buffalo side streets!!!! all star sneakers in snow are the best!
(now you know why falling off a 12 foot camel at 35 mph was not a big deal to me.....) bars were open till 4AM, get Louie's hot dogs (24 hour place) or breakfast; shower then go to work until 3PM. weather was never a factor..

Don, Claude- what's the difference between a state road or a seasonal road in your part of Michigan this time of year?

same stuff- different day here.

Nope. The pump is just like on the old Chevy's, mounted to the engine. Suck the fuel from the tank thru the water separator/sediment bowl, then pushes it to the filter which also has a bowl on the bottom of it. The JCB tech today found the first bowl had a hairline crack in the housing which widened when it got so cold. So we just by-passed it and now the fuel goes from tank to pump then directly to the filter. Didn't see the need for the first bowl with the filter also having one on it. The only thing the first bowl did was protect the pump and those are cheap. Runs great now!

Heidi, seasonal road means if you're Claude and you drive down one this time of the year, plan on taking a snowmobile in the snout....

Scott, maybe a bad rubber fuel line? Shrinks in the cold and allows it to suck a little air through the cracks? There probably all cracked like the tires on my 8N

Nightshift here, roads getting bag again, coffees ready, got the paddywhacker warmed up and ready to go for the sillyness about to ensue here....

Did you replace the tranny cooler? It's probably plugged up. Yeah, Steve is a straight shooter.
