Morning gang,
Heidi - - behave yourself, girl. You ain't Superwoman - - believe it. After working the way I have the last two days, I am starting to believe I am not 29 any more either. Wow I hurt.
Claude -- are you saying you are not having global warming in MICH. LOL Snow bird friends from Kal just got back for the winter and they commented they didn't spend much time on the lake this year - - too cold and nasty. Wondered why they went up there.
OK, gotta get back to work - - grabbing some ph00 and out of here.

Afternoon Everyone!
Cloudy and cool today with no rain. Got a few projects to do outside this afternoon and if the yard isn't too soggy later I might get to mow.

^^^^or, you could be like my hubby and mow in the dark (1969 international tow with gas engine mounted gang mower, no lights) he used the house flood lights to avoid trees. he wanted to mow before we left and in between the rain showers. even the deer (who come in the fence at night to eat the fallen apples) thought he was nuts.....luckily no squirrels agreed.
THANKs fellas for the kind words/thoughts. shakes my bulletproof mentality for such a simple hit. been through much worse without a dent. got about two weeks to get a clue if I will ride camels, but the animal planet interview is only a comfy chair in a posh hotel. I am there to relax and that is what 'camel camp' is for (cowboys, stories, brutally harsh mountain desert coffee, very nice margaritas and way too much food, all from people who are family once a year. this is the 50th year of camel races so we are expecting upwards of 100 people to stay in camel camp this year. all kinds of trailers, campers, yurts and tents and one 1967 multicolored VW bus). ironically, I am the camp doctor.
neighbor stopped up, pics of trail camera he had just put up on our main trail showed in 1 hour- bear, hubby on tractor, momma bear, racoon family (nose close ups), deer, something running, possible cougar as there are no dogs around here.
57 pics in all. He thought he would have to move his camera (35mm) or swap it with the lesser quality digital, now that he is retired. ehehheheh evil laugh but love the nature here. lacks one good fishing stream and i am in heaven.
here's to you guys (even ratl with the TEC thing going on)

And you wonder why things are running around on your property? 'Normal' people don't use y'all either. What the heck is y'all? I think my dad had a y'all from back in his sailing days... used it to repair sails, and later, to sew leather.
So, what is everyone up to this fine afternoon?

Bear hunting friend set up three cameras out by Capt Cook park. Church group on a day trip in the area started to occasionally use the area close to one of the cameras as a latrine. He said he felt like a pervert when he saw what was on the camera.
My grandma always had to use wine to start her gumbo, didnt know you could use beer.
I also prefer the sound of the 357 gate control over the beeps the keypad makes.

Looking back, I think the wine was for her also. Grandma was from Germany but cooked for the aircorp at Travis airfield during WWII and was taught how to make gumbo by another cook. Okra grows very well in CA so was a staple. Love pickled okra.
