Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're always here too, but Claude's one of those guys that you always look forward to seeing or talking to, while you're more like a septic tank... the tank is needed, couldn't live comfortably without it, but we'd just as soon keep it buried and out of sight!
Sorry Cincy, it's just so easy!

Evening DTR.
Chaikwa, I'm here... a little tardy tonight. Had a few things to do, dinner to cook, and my brother was over and got to BSing with him for a while. Trailer looks good, nice work!
Made some angus burgers on the grill tonight. Also had some garlic parsley taters too. Been using my new weber kettle alot lately to cook. Got it about a month ago and I have hardly used the stove top for anything since I got it. Its a good little cooker and the charcoal gives a good flavor to the food.
Work was decent today, not as slow for once. Rained like heck here this morning and cleared up this afternoon. Got in to the mid 80's today. Drank alot of sweet tea today.

'Miss Dig' here in Michigan, 'Dig Safe' in Massachusetts, 'Watch This' in Maine.
Sawed some red oak on the mill yesterday, got it put down as a floor on a little utility trailer today. 16" wide boards! Pretty happy with the way it turned out, nice and smooth and within 1/16" accurate from end to end and side to side. There are a few knots, but it's good enough for a trailer floor. Put some water seal stuff on them and it really brought out the grain.

Boards look good Scott. How long had the log been laying around?
Rained here yesterday morning a little, nothing major. THIS morning however...
About 2" of rain in an hours' time. And the lightning was continuous from 0400 to 0530, mostly up in the clouds, very few bolts hitting the ground, but it was almost steady enough to light up the room sufficiently to read a book! Awesome to watch tho. Still raining here but it's supposed to clear up for awhile then we're going to get some more this afternoon and tonite. Might be 'severe' or so they say. We'll see.About a year. It was one of the logs that the 'Tree People' brought in. No metal in it but I was expecting to find some. You never know what's going to be in there when they come from someone's yard. I want to get a cheap metal detector at some point so I don't destroy blades.

1917 - During World War I, King George V ordered the British royal family to dispense with German titles and surnames. On July 17, 1917, the family took the name "Windsor".
1942 - British Prime Minister Winston Churchill arrived in Washington, DC, to discuss the invasion of North Africa with U.S. President Roosevelt.
1944 - The U.S. won the battle of the Philippine Sea against the Imperial Japanese fleet.
1951 - U.S. President Harry S. Truman signed the Universal Military Training and Service Act, which extended Selective Service until July 1, 1955 and lowered the draft age to 18.

Morning everyone. Slow in the break room this week, Friday and only 8 pages.
Busy, busy I be.
Heidi I need a coffee that big! did you finish it yourself or share it.
Scott, nice job on the trailer, want to sell it?
Pulled a single axle international flatbed that blasted into several toll booth the other day. He had 10' wide prefabed walls on the back and failed to go through the "wide load" e-z pass lane. I am very surprised at how much damage there was to the toll booths but yet the wood was not that banged up.
He was wedged in there like a cork.
Have a good day,
Tim

Good morning my fellow DTRians and late evening Daddy Madthrax
Not much activity this week in the breakroom. I wonder whats keeping everyone away? Maybe its the sheep? The uncatchable donuts? The sludge/coffee? The Dragon? The Verbal Judo? Maybe its time for a some real Dunkin Donuts, Folgers or Maxwell House coffee. Or maybe a streaking

well earthquake sized news flash: the trusty dusty 2004 one ton heavy duty Dodge cummins 4x4 off road short box finally needed front u joints and bearings. (120,000 miles and had a metal 'crunch' the other day from up front.)
the little ground rumble news flash is that hubby did all the work, I didn't even get to pack the bearings.
the welcome to the world news flash is that the hubs are pack-sets. no seperate parts but 250 bucks a piece plus ball joints (400 bucks) and might as well do the u joints and oil change.
soooooooo, that little piece of news was not welcome by the checkbook.
