I wouldn't have any if I hadn't gone back to a dentist when I did. As it was, I still had to have a couple pulled because they were rotted beyond saving, but they were just chewin' teeth, not anything important!

Went to the dentist once when I was 13 and he found a cavity. Told me I was a 'big boy now' and didn't need any of that Novocaine stuff. Felt like he drilled right down to my toes! 
When I turned 14 I was pretty much on my own. I didn't 'want' for anything really, but I was basically unsupervised. One of my first 'adult' decisions was to forgo dentist visits. After the drilling experience, I figured how bad could a toothache be? That train of thought lasted right up until a few years ago too, when I got my first REAL toothache! 32 years of dental neglect has taken its toll, but I'm getting back on track now.

I was in the same boat Chaikwa.. Mom and dad never had insurance when I was a kid and dental care wasn't the highest on the list.. I was about 16 before I started going the one.. By then it was too late for 2 of them (chewin teeth) Now I go every 6 months. There is nothing NOTHING worse than a toothache

Funny During 50&60 Going To The Dentist Wasn`t Real High Priority
Same With Dads Going To School And Checking On Reportcards.

such is life... alot of things that people worry about and stress over doesn't matter. If you dont know if your getting dinner tonight, going to the dentist isn't gonna matter. Your either going to work or hunting or fishing.
