Some of us missed you too and Lary has been at the range trying to improve his aim.

All he has to do is show up at home, that enough.

I wouldn't bet on that. You saw what happened the last time she got on a camel and they're about that tall.

Afternoon gang. Got the truck back, still not fixed. There was nothing wrong with the rear.

Worse.... I thought I had a bearing out in the rear. Took it to a mechanic I know that's got 25+ experience with Mopars and he said carrier bearings. That's beyond where I need to go so I let him have it. He got it apart, pulled the carrier assembly and said he couldn't find anything wrong with it. By the time I got there he had the rear back together but had found the problem. The RF wheel bearing is going out. Believe it or not, it sounds like the noise is coming from the rear. We both were like .

Called the dealer, $462 plus tax. Napa, $416 plus tax. Advance says they have it for $239 plus tax. I'm going to go look at it first.

Fivertravelbob, i was wondering if that book was worth it. yup, three coupons would save a LOT! wow. will put that on the to-do list now.
yes, we are staying in Talkeetna for a bit. some climbers are going up when we are there. cool to see their gear and listen to 'em!
Heidi - -be sure to wait until next year to buy that book. Coupons are dated. Wait for the 2011 edition. You can order it over the web. They were $99 bucks five years ago and worth every penny. We liked the landing on the Ruth Glacier the best. Best I recall the trip was about $200 each, but the two for one made it $100 apiece. Well worth the trip. The one around the top will take you by the high camp at 17,000 feet. Interesting to fly by it and see the trail going off at an angle heading for the top. Nice and clear that day. The Ruth glacier trip is low base camp at about 7000'. You don't stray far from the plane -- - lots of open and hidden crevices not far from the plane. A little scary when you think about landing a plane on that slope among the crevices. Hmmm?????

Busy day is over - - got lots done. Heading out in the morning for a week. Will try and say boo from the mountains, but don't promise. Take care.

Evenin.

Took the wife out to olive garden, I love to spoil her

Been farting with my shop sink, got everything hooked up good, one of the valves were leaking. Pulled it BACK apart, seen a little PVC cement got on the threads... cleaned it out, we're waiting to see the verdict...

Tired. Had duty last night, probably got three hours of sleep... I was gonna take a nap today, but never got around to it. I'm sure I'll sleep good tomorrow.

See ya'll in a bit.

Good luck mark.

Interesting problem there. Never heard of pvc cement on threads causing a sink to fart and leak...

I know, I know... Keep the day job!

Nah, actually, it got on the lip of the fitting and caused it not to seat right. I was just being lazy in my description. I had a short piece coming out of a 'T' so I could put my valves in, some of the cement leaked over...

Got some ice on the elbow, need some for the knee and hand/wrist.

Bout to get a water trough and fill it with ice water and lay in it. Weakling.

I've been cold. Worn a sweat shirt to work a few times.

Going to bed.

Morning.

Today is Saturday, October 30th.

On this day in 1735 - John Adams, the second President of the United States, was born in Braintree, MA. His son became the sixth President of the U.S.

1875 - The constitution of Missouri was ratified by popular vote.

1938 - Orson Welles' "The War of the Worlds" aired on CBS radio. The belief that the realistic radio dramatization was a live news event about a Martian invasion caused panic among listeners.

1943 - In Moscow, a declaration was signed by the Governments of the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and China called for an early establishment of an international organization to maintain peace and security. The goal was supported on December 1, 1943, at a meeting in Teheran.

1945 - The U.S. government announced the end of shoe rationing.

1972 - In Illinois, 45 people were killed when two trains collided on Chicago's south side.

1995 - Federalists prevailed over separatists in Quebec in a referendum concerning secession from the federation of Canada.

Slow history day!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Do pyromaniacs wear blazers?

Coffee and ph00 is ready. Wait a minute... didn't 5ver say he was going away? Scratch the ph00!

Last fire prevention event of the season today. I like what I do, but I'm ready for it to be over for this year. Roughly 60,000 people went thru the trailer this year from May 'til now. We have over 5000 smoke alarms to give away and 20,000 9 volt batteries. Maybe they'll all be gone by noon so we can come home early!
