Here's your history;

On this day in 1777 - British forces captured Fort Ticonderoga during the American Revolution.

1854 - In Jackson, MI, the Republican Party held its first convention.

1885 - Louis Pasteur successfully tested his anti-rabies vaccine. The child used in the test later became the director of the Pasteur Institute.

1917 - During World War I, Arab forces led by T.E. Lawrence captured the port of Aqaba from the Turks.

1932 - The postage rate for first class mail in the U.S. went from 2-cents to 3-cents.

1942 - Diarist Anne Frank and her family took refuge from the ***** in Amsterdam.

1944 - A fire broke out in the main tent of the Ringling Brother, Barnum and Bailey Circus. 169 people died.

1945 - U.S. President Truman signed an order creating the Medal of Freedom.

1994 - On Storm King Mountain, in Colorado, 14 firefighters were killed while fighting a several-day-old fire.

Yo... sorry I'm late. All that packing...

Bout a week left. I can almost smell America.

Got L-I-T Saturday night, good times. First time in a while. Taking it easy at the moment.

Anyone watch House? It's a tv series... Seen my first episode over here, I've been renting the seasons here at the video store.

Ok, I'm out. See ya'll in the am.

I can vouch for that - - Stan is much more normal looking, but not sure about the shower thing.

House is a favorite around our house. Marian keeps saying "he acts just like you." Now I am trying to figure out if that is a compliment or - - - or - - - well, something else.

Been out fertilizing - - it is now suntan time and exercise in the pool time. Gorgeous out. Read the paper, snooze, tough life - - hate it.

Have a gudurn,

Bob

Shower? Why'd you have to bring THAT into the conversation? Just because Stan only showers when he comes up to the states is no reason to throw it in his face!

So? You 'fertilize' every time you come here. We expect it, no need to announce it!

Glad I'm not back in New England. My old fire department is out on the highway with a 10,200 gallon tanker that rolled over on it's side and is leaking... into the river. I'd hazard a guess that they'll be there the better part of the week. HAPPY MONDAY!

I'm glad that I joined the land of the somewhat living and spent a few bucks on renting the seasons.

Worn out b-day suit... funny!

I don't think you can act like house... not that bad.

Do what I do---dont turn the fan on when taking a shower. The mirror fogs up and I look fabulous.

Be glad when madhat gets back stateside. I keep expecting to see some international incident involving a marine, some sake and a panda.

Glad everybody is doing well today. I am almost done with the car. The broken water pump bolts and cam gear really caused a problem. Well, back to it. Should be able to fire it up and take it on a beer run in a few hours.

Oh did you see where they re-discovered Rin Tin Tin's grave? http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-292504

I always imagined some Sake Bombs, the Marine, and a really ticked off sumo wrestler.

Evening DTR, did some running around today. Applied for a few jobs, went to costco, and made dinner. Dinner tonight is a cowboy stew/texas chili, very good and was cooked on the charcoal grill. Has ground beef, corn, taters, green chilis, bbq sauce, tomato sauce, beer, spices, onion, garlic, and a long time to cook low and slow.
