Just, Bud Light tonight. When I'm not drinking Coors, it's Bud Light generally.

Ever heard the song "The Battle of New Orleans" sung by Johnny Horton...just popped up on my playlist. I love this song.

I watched Platoon last night and Shooter the night before. I'm thinkin I might watch Hell Fighters or Black Hawk Down tonight.

You could skip the westen and do a African Flick... The movie Hatari with John Wayne is a good one and one of my favorites. John Wayne is a big game trapper in africa in that movie.

I have heard the song before, never new who sang it. Funny thing is John Horton is my Grandpas name too.

Another hot day, 112. It's like walking out into a blast furnace...It's almost 2000 and it's 109 out still. Love it...
112 isn't bad. officially, it was 105 @ 40% humidity today..

btw, I picked up a 3M Headlight Lens restoration kit today. its 400 grit, 800 grit, a wet sand pad, and rubbing compound and a foam pad that you run in your drill. the head lights are clear and clean again. the kit come with 4 of each sanding disk and enough rubbing compound that I think I can do my daughters car too..

I don't wanna know either, I'm leaving that part all up to his creativity! If the TSA finds that thing they'll probably think its some kind of weapon.

It was about $20 at AutoZone.
I think for what it is, you could buy a pack of sanding disks and some plastic rubbing compound and do many, many more, but for my needs, one pack was enough.

Reason I ask is we sell a kit similar to that, offered by Chrysler. List is 45 dollars if I reckon. Seems to be they're quite proud of it. We tried it out on a headlight we replaced under warranty, and it did in fact work well.

I think you're right though. For what it is, you could do it a bit cheaper.

I think it took me about an hour or so to do both lenses and get cleaned up. I also went over my corner markers with the rubbing compound. Looks like the left side lens has taken a couple hits by rocks. there are two cracks in it but im not paying $85 for a replacement.

Now I just gotta wash my wife's X and do something about my windshield.

Afternoon, fellas.

Josh, great to see you. Ain't talked to you in a while.

I got rid of the spider... I took a metal coat hanger and knocked him off the wall, then went to push him down the hall and out the door. While I was doing this, trying not to hurt either one of us, he bit the end of the hanger, and I felt it all the way up to my hand. Glad I used the hanger!

Went and got some chow, rode around for a bit... nothing serious going on.

Funny... take away the picture and the statements take on a whole new meaning! And your mind creates a whole NEW picture!

Dangit man, why don't you just KILL that thing? Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it!

Thunderstorm here this morning. No satellite TV. Forgot to put coffee in the coffee maker so I made a pot of water instead. It's going to be a great day, I can tell.

Here's the history;

On this day in 1786 - Morocco agreed to stop attacking American ships in the Mediterranean for a payment of $10,000.

1798 - The U.S. Marine Corps was formally re-established by "An Act for Establishing a Marine Corps" passed by the U.S. Congress. The act also created the U.S. Marine Band. The Marines were first commissioned by the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775.

1804 - The United States' first secretary of the treasury, Alexander Hamilton, was killed by Vice President Aaron Burr in a duel.

1864 - In the U.S., Confederate forces led by Gen. Jubal Early began an invasion of Washington, DC. They turned back the next day.

1934 - U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt became the first American chief executive to travel through the Panama Canal while in office.

1955 - The U.S. Air Force Academy was dedicated in Colorado Springs, CO, at Lowry Air Base.

1962 - The first transatlantic TV transmission was sent through the Telstar I satellite.

1972 - U.S. forces broke the 95-day siege at An Loc in Vietnam.

chaikwa.

Good morning Scott - - looks liike we are the only sober and awake ones this morning. Gorgeous down this way - - 73 degrees and bright sunshine. Just watered flowers and tended lanai plants, etc. Lookin' good, but them thar orchids are still being stubborn and won't bloom - - I think a bit warm for them to bust out in joy.

Let's see - - did you make coffee big boy - - don't see any around. OK, coffee is on, ph00 is all ready done and 1/2 gone and sprinkles are on the counter. Chased all the critters off the counter that might engorge themselves on such, but ya better hurry - - they will come back.

Off to see what trouble I can get in to. Have fun,

Bob
