How many of you can drift or slide a ram cummins when wet? how far and can you do it in a straight line just crabbing down the road with no brake or do you have to powerbrake? I no this sounds silly but its so much fun

When I was stock I used to hold the truck at about a 45* angle to the curb and walk it as far down as the road would allow me to. Never touched the brake. Just feathered the throttle. Now with over 430+hp it's a whole different ball game. Things happen a lot faster. Still learning how to play with it.

Going 30-40 MPH I can slide sideways a little over 100 feet on dry pavement while only going 10-20 feet forwards; no brake, just quick turns with the wheel and feathered throttle. (There's a couple good places in town.) Then I just hit the limits of center of gravity and tire friction.
On dirt the whole shebang is different; I can actually brake tires loose going under 20 miles per hour. It's incredible. Heck, I can even brake tires loose from a stand still and do man donuts.
I still want to install a clutch pedal for my front brakes only. I think that'd be the best thing since the bikini...

On my truck the rearend tries to pass the front when its wet out. Most of the intersections i turn through i go through sideways. It's ridiculously hard to control. I'm still trying to finesse the newfound power I have added lately. And on dirt roads...... Forget it. I like the body the way it is... (except for the rust on the cab.)
But in my ferd, that is a whole different animal.....and drifting in 4 high is pretty fun.

There is a corner by my work, that I'll power brake it lift start spinnign the tires kick it sideways around the turn almost to opposite lock. The truck will shift spin them up through 2nd. Havent tried it when its wet out. Looking forward to it though.

I was turning left (north) at an intersection once. From a stop I hit it (just got done dynoing) and I had the truck pointed at the southbound lane for awhile and when the back end got in the lane I wanted everything staightend up. Not very far but it was fun. (still got 18.2 mpg even with dynoing and playing with it on the way home)
