Mornin.
Wyo, don't sweat the fuel running in the cab, I have been doing it for years. Diesel is not volatile. If you were to get a leak, just shut the key off. Just get a good line, like copper. I got my line from car quest...
Hope your morning is going as good as mine...

I thought that a sending unit was installed on a fuel line and it sent a electronic signal to the gauge. Didn't realize that they had a fuel line coming in.
Nice hot tub.
Oh. And water that back yard.

Afternoon everyone. Got good news about the family friend thats in the hospital. He's stabilized and doing fine now, the dr's have to operate on his legs to fix the breaks in them. The dr thinks he'll recover fine but it'll be a while before he's back to normal.
Blake, I run a mechanic FP gauge in my truck and have been for about 5 years now. Just use a good tubing like mark said, I used braided stainless but copper works too. I also added a needle valve to act as a gauge snubber. Sometime the needle in the gauge would rattle and adding the valve stopped it. It also is good to have incase you have a leak in the line, shut the valve off until you can repair it.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!
Suddenly it appears you have a bit of guilt creeping up on you, to bad your to old and frail to run away from it any more!!

But on the bright side, all your toe jam is probably gone
Oh ya and hey while I'm at it, is there any reason for a egt gauge if you are not boosting and fueling?

A couple of well placed shots at that hot tub and problem solved.....
Thanks Matt. Prayers for your friend. Wish him and his family the best.

Cool, just kinda surprised me that there would be a fuel line. what a freakin mess if you got a leak. Are the electronic ones as problematic as I have read on here? That's the only reason I was thinking of mechanical. The gauges in the dtr store they come with an 8' lead, toss it and get a better one???

Evenin, DTR. Night shift is on again. Feel like all I do is work on something or other.
Another late one tonight, another early one tomorrow. Maybe Thursday I'll get to sleep in a little. Probably not.
Back to work. Someone drink a beer for me, I'm parched.

I do not like electronic ones, however, I'm sure that they have come a long way from when I bought mine. Mechinical is more simple than electronic, remember that. The gauges will still come with wires for power (lighting). If it does not have a NPT on the back for the fuel line, don't cut it!
You sound like me with all of them guns. When I was still commissioned I didnt even leave the house without my Glock 23 or 27 on me.
Id drink one for you if I could. A Guinness at that.
Imaginary Beer!

Evening Jeff
Going good
I like the Isspro EV2 gauges. Heard good things and they are as close a match to the 3rd gen cluster as you will find. They may have some that match the 2nds too.

Yeah, Matt, I'm sorry. Meant to say something in the first post, but I was talking and typing... That's great news, buddy.
You got it, Jeff. No beer? Sorry to hear that. I may be an alcoholic, but I would be crushed if I could not drink beer.
I am an Isspro fan, they have done me right for 5 years now, not a glitch. Well, I had some bulb problems a while back, but they sent me all new bulbs and holders for free. I had had them for 2-3 years when that happened. I have the EV's also.
Remember, you can get that stuff through the DTR store.
