Afternoon all.
Sorry there was no history this AM. I had an early class but had planned on getting up early, (which I did), and posting my usual. When I let Jake outside however, I notice the trailer park trash had decided to burn my brush pile along with my firewood pile.
Spent the morning before I had to leave for class dealing with that. Then I spent the afternoon when I got back with the sheriff's department giving the report. Also found out he wanted to hunt out here and in return he and his colleagues now have the gate code and are going to patrol the property. So I guess there was something good that came from me loosing 100+ cords of wood.
What's everyone else been up to?

Scott, we need to build a gate out back by the park and put up a sign that advertises free medical marijuana prescriptions. Pick'em off one at a time as they come through. The bears in Luther Swamp need to eat too.

I get it split and delivered for $50, but that's buying usually 4-6 at a time. * ft logs have been $75-$80 a cord delivered, but 10 cord minimum. When I built the stove, it was only $60 and shot right up the next year.

800 bucks for a 20-25 log load here. might be big logs might be fence posts.

Hey Don, what is shakin'? alright- off to play scrabble against my hubby who has been doing an online game 'word twist' for about six months. my 22 year winning streak MAY be at an end! watched hockey game- black hawks kicked it! exciting game. hope the sabres win past the bruins.trying a canadian beer......

That'd be $15,000. Lotta money. And work.
I need to do something, that's for sure. Sheriff's Dept said they're going in there upwards of 3 times per SHIFT.
Why? They'd just burn it, steal it or otherwise destroy it. I need to find a more permanent solution. I'm thinking piano wire at neck height where they gain access. A few rolling heads ought to deter them long enough until I can think of something else. REALLY wish I could get my hands on a few flash bangs just to have fun with them.
They got the main wood pile.

But they love to wait till you get 100+ round bales hauled and stacked and then they will torch that.

Helping dad pack. Hes outta here in the morning. Going next week to kickoff the new job. Im gonna hang out here for a few more weeks till he needs me up north.
