It was the old Caddies that had those, wasn't it?


I don't see how vinyl's could last long on those things...

I recall them being aftermarket equipment. Yeah, the 45's didn't last very long when you had 10-15 grams of downforce on the tone arm. It was kind of like a little lathe cutting its way to the other side.

I'm converting my vinyl to MP3 using the Neuros, which can record from line-in. Turntable is hooked to the stereo receiver, Neuros connected to a DAT output; play the old-timey record and record it. It's also letting me salvage some stuff that I have only on casette tape, as well. I bought a piece of software that can automatically split the tracks on the recording, and also has some pretty good automatic clean-up routines for stuff like pops and cracks.

I have a carputer in my truck with 4000 songs on it

Who needs cds (i hsve bought maybe 5 cds in my life 20 years old)

IIRC the OOOld Chrysler Imperial had one that played LPs.
