Double H Boots?

Hy all,
I'm startin to look for a new pair of boots for vocational school(I take Diesel Mechanics), regular school, and work on the farm. I been searching and I've came up with Double H. There's a few guys at school that have em and they seem to like them. I'm looking at a pair like this http://www.doublehboots.com/item.asp...&CategoryID=66

Has anybody had any expeirience with this particualr type of boot. I did a search and saw that there are a couple here with Double H's. How do you like them, and are they a good boot?

Thanks,
*****

This thread seems to be a pretty good source of boot information.

Thanks Begle, I looked at that one already and saw that some on here have them, just looking for some more info. What's the deal with the heading under your user name?

Justin boots

i started out w/ a pair of H&H's back when i was 12. they lasted pretty good. keep 'em oiled. i later switched to Justin's. had 9 of my friends and people i worked with that had wolverines. they only seemed to last about 6mo to a year. i have always had justins, and never a problem for me. not as comfortable as wolverines, but lasted longer. red wings are pretty awesome if you dont mind paying more. i can get a pair of slip on justin work boots for right at $100 in se tx.

I had some and the soles didnt last for nothin. I worked em everyday and 3 months later i was gettin new soles. Ive always worn Olathes but i dont know how popular they are around the country. i get em in Texas but i saw those Double H and tried em. I wouldnt buy another pair, just my experience.

One thing is to make sure you get a boot that is made for the purpose.

I have seen people htat will buy a pair of hiking boots and try to wear them while roofing. They just dont last. If your going to be working in oils, get a good oil resistant boot. If your going to be laying asphault, get a high temperature boot.

I've had a couple of pairs of Double H's. I only wear Ariat's now. They are more comfortable and last much longer. I liked the idea that HH were made in the USA but they just didn't hold up as well.

Something like this. Click

I use to wear the Double HH's but switched to all Ariat's about 3 years ago. Even my pull-ons are Ariat. They run 109.00 at the local Western Store for the lacers. And around 159.00 for the pull-ons. I don't think my son's pull-on Ariats have had the spurs off of them since we bought them and they still look good.

You mean Geico broke Begle's mountain??

I've never tried Double H boots, but anytime a boot thread comes up I feel the need to chime in and recommend Ariat. My Ariats are by far the best boots I've ever tried (and I've tried lots of them in all different price ranges).

I defintely have to agree with the Ariats. I've had a couple of pairs. They last for a long time and are really comfortable. I just bought a new pair the other day actually. Good stuff.
