The older members can relate to this happenstance.
Went to my dads to start his 69 Bronco.
Get in, turn key, pump throttle, turn key, starter spins but no start.
Pump throttle some more, turn key still no start.
Look at dash and it has two *****. One for throttle
and one for choke.
Pull choke out, turn key and motor purring.
Push choke in and drive off.

Moral of story is how quickly we forget how it used to be.

amen to that. I get as close as possible and set the high idle to 1500rpms...I get some strange looks but I don't care. One guy got nervous and went to another pump one day. I walked over and explained to him why i did what I did. at that point, he was very friendly but he had never even thought about the diesel pumps before!

haha I was driving my husbands truck (a auto) and went to slow down for a stop sign and started hitting my foot on the ground looking for the clutch while thinking "what do I do, how do I stop" then I realized I dont have to do anything other than hit the brake lol.

I hate when im pulling a trailer and for some reason people think the because you have a trailer at red lights and even sometimes driving they can ride 2inches from the trailer. I dont know about yall but it seems like people ride my butt more when I have a trailer.

I hate when the kids that know nothing about diesel trucks at school (I'm still in H.S. people lol) think that diesels take like 5 minutes to get to 60mph and that any car could beat a diesel in a drag race. (man did I make that boy cry that day, haha)
