I never take myself seriously and if anyone else does take me seriously then they need to get their head checked out right away!

Would make a good aniversary gift! One of my favorite things to do is cook and I believe in having good cookware to use. I make sure whatever the wife and I use will stand up to being used on the grill since we like to use the grill to cook alot of our meals.

Seriously though, I take some stuff called "Elations" I can get at the grocery store. It's a liquid joint health suplament.

Works really well. MUCH better than the pills I used to take. This stuff kicks in after 2 days or so unlike the pills that take weeks to build up in the system.
Yeah, whatever. It's a tendon injury, patellar tendonitis, I believe. The joys of running...

Tendon problems suck. Ortho guy I see told me the tendon doesn't have a real good blood supply so getting the good stuff to it isn't easy. He recomended Ice massage 3-4 times a day, 20min at a time. Get the area nice and cool then as it re-warms, it pulls in lots of fresh blood to the area. Ice cubes work ok but he gave me a prescription for some cryo stim probes like this.

http://www.fenixstopspain.com/cryo_stim_probe.html

I got mine from the Physical Therapist and insurance paid for it all.

Keep the probes in the freezer then put some ultrasound gel on the sore spot then go to town massaging the area with the probes.... Worked pretty good on my elbow last year.

I had a similar problem in my elbow, and they gave me a cortisone shot in my arm, and that fixed me up. Not the case with my knee, I got one two weeks ago, and it got worse about three days later.

I'm gonna get seen by the ortho guy, and I'm sure I'll get fixed up, but for now it sucks. I did some cross fit tonight, and this thing is screaming. I'm gonna have to go self medicate when I get to the house.

Cortisone is OK but it doesn't "fix" anything. Just an anti-inflammatory really. And too much of those cortisone shots can actually damage the tendon more IIRC. Make them less flexible....

Try the Ice Massage. Works Good. Might even try one of you frosty mugs filled from the kegerator for you massage tool.....

Sun is up, heading for the 70's today - - first time in several weeks - - about time. In another 5 months I will be praying for a day like this. Oh well, at least the plants will look better. OK, heading out to do some more cut back on the freeze dried plants.
