Doing it Big Dawg Style,
Doing it Big Dawg Style,
Ok.... Well what can a fellow say? (Not mine btw)
It was for sale on ebay. Speaking of Ebay, any one else been seeing their ads?

Lot of effort went into this conversion. Someone had a dream and went for it.

Did you catch the the line:
" seller will pay 1/2 shipping cost to anywhere in U.S.A "
I bet he will - just get it out of here and I'll pay half the shipping - yells his wife....

Re:Doing it Big Dawg Style,
anyone know if it would be leagal to own one of those tanks here in the US? I know they wouldn't be leagle to drive on public streets, but it would be a fun toy out on my farm ;D
Re:Doing it Big Dawg Style,
Yeah, you can import a tank to the US, as long as the guns are derated and/or removed. You need an import license, however, and that can take some time/expense/hassle.
BTW, take a look at the BMP-1's here: http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk/BMP1/BMP1.htm
That six-cylinder, in-line diesel is an example of Soviet industrial espionage -- it was designed by Cummins in the 1950s. Good engine -- far superior to the French diesels that the Soviets had been stealing for years.
Personally, I think the BMP-1's are the best deal. They're faster off the line, get better mileage, are far more durable than the T-72's, T-64's, T-55's, and BDRM's, and can swim across water with a little preparation. Plus they look sweet. Real racing lines. And if you can find a BMP-2 on the market, that's even better. grab it.

Re:Doing it Big Dawg Style,
a while ago while I was floating around the web, I stumbled across a couple of sites where you could hire a tank and go cruze around some fields. Some were in the UK and a couple were in the US. I can't seam to find any now though...
