Question Dodge Frame

Just on a long shot, anybody got a chart (or piece of a chart) of the length/ width of Dodge 2500/3500 frames from 89-04? I've googled until my googler can google no more, and I can't find the specifications of a single frame...Thanks.

Can't pull out what you are looking for. Pickup truck frames, Dodge included are 38 inches wide, at least at the behind cab area.

frame specs

Begle1;
A frame shop will have that imfo. Dodge should also be able to provide that imfo. I'm pretty sure it's in the OEM service manual.

Factory Service manuals have that info, plus the location of members, etc. etc.

Can't help with the older trucks, but the '03-'04 info can be found here:

Thanks. Yeah, I'm basically seeing what the options are for putting the Suburban body on the Dodge frame. I could fit the Cummins in the engine compartment, but the frame rails are only 24 inches wide, and the crankcase would have to fit through the rails in order for it to fit, so I would have to modify the frame anyway. (Or move the starter, which I don't thinks possible?) And so, now I'm tinking it would be easier to just drop the body onto an existing frame.

On another note, I heard that its not safe to modify these new hydroformed frames. Any truth to that?

Yeah but the hydro formed frame started in 2003, expecting you to use an older one.
