Risk Assessment patches come out the second Tuesday of each month. That would be today.

Run Windows Update every month around the 20th and you will be covered.

No animated cursors, no "themes", no desktop wallpaper.

Never got the attraction.

Basic blue desktop, basic arrow/hand cursor, basic Windows sounds.

I know nothing about Linux. Is it incapable of getting viruses, spyware, trojans, worms, etc?

Not incapable but harder for sure. The only reason why windows has so many viruses is because almost everybody has one, so the jerks with nothing better to do other than destroy other peoples computers hit the biggest market.

To get back on track, I have the basic windows package on my laptop. nothing fancy/dancy bout it.

Linux and Mac users dont get as many due to the fact so few of the machines are use. The majority of them run M$ so that what the hackers and bug writers focus on.
