Does anyone know of a company that makes a digital display I can use in my truck that will tell temprature, volts, amps by using a remote shunt, and have a backlight and data logger. LCD display perfered but LED will work.
I want to be able to tell the transmission temprature both pre and post cooler, show battery voltage from 2 diffrent sources and be able to monitor the output of the alternator's amps. It should be able to display about 6 lines of text or scroll. I am running out of room in the cab and I need more insturmentation, something like a trip computer but not one, Just simple readout I could build into the dash or surface mount.

Display would look something like this:
Volts #1 12.0
Volts #2 12.0
Amps 50.0
Trans.Pre 230*
Trans.Post 200*

I have checked catalogs but I have only found the components to build my own.

Look into project boxes for computers...
They'll all twelve volts. I think you're gonna have to do some custom soldering and such, though...
