is there a way to put one of those little things that go up on the cieling and display the MPH, direction and temp.? My 98 jeep has one and its the same shape and everything and it lokos like one would do into the empty slot on the top of my 02 SLT.

pull your overhaed consoul and check to see if the comp wiring is there if it is head to the junkyard to try and find one. Most of our vehicles are wired for all the goodies they just dont put them in place. You might not get a temp reading if the temp sensor is not allready on your truck. did this to a buddys 2001 and everything worked except for the temp gauge.

To add to this, the wiring for the sensor will be there if the wiring for the over head is. You'll just have to find a temperature probe. IIRC, the only that won't work correctly is the fuel mileage calculations. Temp + directions should work fine though.
