Diesel in the Sand?
Diesel in the Sand?
I have 4 wheeled for years in the sand but always in a gasser. My last truck was the same as my current one except it had a gas engine. My question is how will the added lbs of the diesel engine effect the trucks performance in the Sand? The last thing I want to do is bury this thing!
Just air down and go. I was worried about the same thing when I took my truck to the outerbanks for the first time. I ended up running 17-18 psi and had no problems, even in very soft sugar sand. Check out my gallery for pics.
This is a worry for most new truck owners if you get your air perisher to 20/25 PSI your have no problems. I have had six different 4 wheel drives most of them gassers but as you I was worried for my 04.5 loaded with all gear camping, fishing, coolers and a boat trailer 14" John but don't worry enjoy your truck. Wash under it with lawn sprinkler win you get home.
