Did they make a 1500 Mega Cab?

Was it based off the heavy duty platform? Did it have a solid front axle?

Where are the differences, just in the springs?

Thanks,
Joe

Yes there is one made. It is the only 1500 with a solid front axle. I'm pretty sure they have 8 lug wheels too.

falls in the same lines as a 1500HD chevy, extremely light duty 3/4 ton truck with a gas engine as the only option.

The 1500 Mega cab is a carbon copy of the 2500 mega cab hemi except for the badges, and it is about $2000 cheaper than the 2500 for the exact same truck.

Yes they make a 1500 MC, and as others have said, it's just a 2500 with slightly softer springs.
