Did they ever make a 2wd reg cab CTD?? Prove it!

Well of course they did!

Unfortunately, you just can't prove it by shopping the used market. Why are they so rare? I'm trying to find a reg cab 2wd 12v as a potential project truck.

Ideally I'd find a '97 12V reg cab auto in plain fleet white with the all-vinyl interior and no options to speak of, except A/C. My ND blood can't handle heat all that well

Where should I be looking to find this thing? It's like trying to find a '98 12V QC 4wd 5-speed!

I have one parked in the driveway. 2wd 97 5 speed , cloth seats , rubber floor. It does have power windows and locks , as well as cruise control and AC.

I know where there is a 1994 5 speed 2wd , and it is bare bones , not even AC in that puppy.

They arn't THAT hard to find , if you look in the right places.

I love my 3rd Gen Reg Cab 2wd Rare as can be. Haven't seen another one yet. Like the idea of driving and not seeing another truck like yours down the street. Helps a little on resale value.

Look for the earlier years, 94-95. My first Cummins was exactly that.

My 2001 2500 was a 2wd, reg cab, long bed, with CTD, 47RE, 410's, cloth seats, vinyl floor covering, crank windows, a/c, cruise and tilt with the slide-in camper package. It sat about as high as the 4wd's. I loved that truck, but really wanted a dually so I traded it in on my 2004. Since it is an early 04with no cat, I plan to keep it forever. I am on my third Cummins and am sold on them!!!

This sounds like the start of a really cool project truck!

Ill keep my eyes open for you, any geographical area that you would be more prone to purchase from?

My buddy the dealer has a 95 3/4 ton standard cab stock w/Auto, 160ish on the mileage. I don't know what he wants for it, but if you could stand a maroon one I could see what the bottom dollar is.
