Denyo 280 welder
Denyo 280 welder
I bought a used 3 cylinder Denyo welder that is 280 amps and has 110 and 220 volt also. I tryed the welder today and I am glad I still have my SA- 200 as I dont know if they all weld like that or just that machine. Act like it has some ac on the wave form, or it frys and in no way can be compaired to a SA- 200 welder.
I checked the voltage and that would work to power some of my house if I loose power, not all but an ac unit and some other load. I bought it just for the power any way. I was told it smokes, but I did not know how much unit today. I really wonted a Diesel welder, but I dont know how good a Denyo is suppose to weld? Does any one have any experince welding with a Denyo? I need to find out because I could just trade the machine in on a Diesel generator,
If I can get the machine to welder better or like my Lincoln SA-200, then great!
I can install a set of rings, ect and stop the smoke. Any ideas thanks JimK

it hard to find a welder that welds better than a sa200, face they are the caddilacs of stick machines. most smaller welders make single phase power. the exception i have found is the miller ledgend, right above the bobcats. they cost a grand more but it weld almost as well as a sa200. it make 3 phase power, pretty sweet for a smaller machine. but i don't remember it coming in a diesel.

have a miller big 40 with the old continental motor on it, and sa 200 both excellent machines. miller welds out of position better than lincoln i believe. leaves a weld similar to a mig. btw 99% of welding is off the ground. hanging on to something
