What a hunt of a day! I decided to sleep in, , drink an extra cup of joe, filled up with fuel, and on the way to the deer stand I see a nice 4x4 standing in a neighbor's field. So.......... ............... I dropped that dude where he stood and I was done fer the day! I still had coffee in the cup! Drove over to the unlucky buck and threw him in the pickup and when home. Took all of 15 mins to get my deer this year. Even if I made a "Texas" shot from the dirt road.

My son in law is so PO'ed! He calls me MR. LUCKY.

My cousin got one this morning at about 75 yrds with his new 300 Weatherby Mag. He said the deer was jumped by a couple dog and made one leap when my cousin shot, the deer hit the ground and rolled and that was the end of the trail.

Didn't take much to talk me into it after seeing those pictures. Just got off the phone with the wife. She's laying out my stuff tonight so I can get out for a few hours in the morning when I get home from work.
