I saw a window of opportunity this a.m. So I hit the road.
I'm home; freakin sore. Need some relief.

Time to chill. Laying in a snowbank is the fastest way.

Chris, prayers to the family and Gretta. Always tough as the time draws nearer but you care and that's better than allot of our furry friends get. Stay strong brother.

Stop them from getting TO the roof vents. Find the likely place they're getting on the roof and smear something really greasy or super sticky in their path. Cats don't like getting their paws nasty.

Gooooood evening D T R!!!! I feel like I've been gone a year. Work has been crazy and I've been really tired, more so than usual so I haven't been on board lately. I even missed turkey day on here, not happy. How is everybody?

Taylor all the way. I've had a Yamaha, Gibson and an Ovation and the Taylor is by far a better playing and sounding instrument in my opinion. They have models/sizes/prices to fit just about everyone. http://www.taylorguitars.com/

Today's thought:
Approach each new problem not with a view of finding what you hope will be there, but to get the truth, the realities that must be grappled with. You may not like what you find. In that case you are entitled to try to change it. But do not deceive yourself as to what you do find to be the facts of the situation.

C0ffee & ph00 are ready.

Let's keep B0b's wife in our thoughts and prayers today. She'll need support to stay sane being separated from her handsome husband! Let's also keep in mind B0b's granddaughter and the rest of the family in this difficult time. Thanks!

Life has its ups and downs. Just remember when your down to look up once in a while, you may hit you head on something. Then you'll be down, and out.
Freezing rain on the way home last night pretty bad. Could only keep a small area of the windshield clear to see out of. Only had a little on the way to town, but the roads is covered with ice. Fun, lets see who doesn't show up for work this morning.

Wow, aren't you the polititian today. Me thinks it will be more the chaos she is in driving her up the wall rather than being away from her "handsome" husband. LOL But, nice try anyhow. Talked with her shortly last night at a "quiet" time. Suddenly I heard three distinct different cries in the background and she had to cut it short. All three were wanting attention. Now, how about poor Bobby, all alone, having to cook, clean house, pay the bills, make the bed, clean the toilet, sweep the floors - - - -uhhhh, wait a minute - - - is that what she does every day for me? HMMMM, think I need to rethink some of my actions around here. ...............

Seriously, prayers are greatly received - - they are in the critical part of this whole process right now and the little one has started reacting again to the steroids - - she is going nuts, screaming, then crying, then being bullish, then wanting a hugs - - - all the different attitudes never knowing which one will surface the next minute. Can't imagine being in my son's shoes right now.

Our Christmas Pageant starts its three night run tonight. I am the announcer for it -- should be fun. OK, grabbing my ph00 (thanks ScotT) and I am out of here.

Bob

cougar: Yeah, same here. They say we only got 1/10 of an inch of ice but it seems like a lot more.
Subaru turned into a toboggan going down the hill this morning.

Sorry. You missed it awhile back. We voted to change it to only one T so we could put it in with the other four letter words.

Made sausage country gravy last night and cooked some Bisquick biscuits.
They turned out like hockey pucks. Figured maybe I kneaded and rolled the dough to long.
Made another batch this time doing the super easy never fail drop biscuit method. More hockey pucks.
Looked at the expiration date on the new box I had opened. July 2001.
Wife swears she just bought that box a few weeks ago.
I think she has a shrew loose.

I´m sure happy I don´t have to deal with ice, "just" a howling wind.
The entire country is shut down, bridges closed, trains, ferries, planes and buses are cancelled and the police says don´t go anywhere unless it it REALLY an emergency.
I just hope that my house can take the beating, I lost one roof tile, luckily I was outside and almost got hit by it, so I was ready to put a piece of plywood in the hole to stop the wind from getting in.
Storm is supposed to last another 8-12 hours, gonna be interesting to what everything looks like when daylight comes back.

j_martin that is by far the best explanation of stress I´ve seen .

This is a serious situation, which fortunately is looking like it's going as well as can be hoped, and I'm not making light of it, BUT...
is it just me that has realized the similarities of Ianna's moods and actions, and that of her grandfathers?

I hope this is received in the spirit it was intended, but sometimes I see something and just can't help myself.

Hope everyone is having an acceptable day.

Started looking at the Ford 4000 tractor we picked up last summer. Engine is locked/seized, so I yanked out the plugs and dumped 1/2 a gallon of my special ATF/acetone mix into the cylinders. Maybe it'll free up. Time will tell.

I looked at them, then found this place... made for kids her size, not too pricey since we dont know if she will really want to learn or not yet, and it sounds like they have a decent reputation for decent beginner stuff:

Yikes! I was watching BBC news. That's a bad storm. They even closed the Øresund Bridge.

Somebody told me that the acetone thins the ATF enough to work its way in tight places than the acetone evaporates leaving just the oil. Is that the theory or was he BSing me.

Wouldn't you know it. The one thing I have been right about all day is something that sucks.

I knew I had missed something.

Going out to throw some sand on the drive way. It has turned into an ice skating rink.
