Death Valley

So I just got back from a trip out to Death Valley. A family friend from my wifes side had a wedding out there at Scotty's castle. The last time there was a wedding at the castle was 70 years ago. Did a little bit of off roading Titus Canyon, Rhyolite, and Echo Canyon. Ended up taking the dodge out there since the ranger has some problems with it that I need to fix before I go off roading.

Sunet at the end of Titus Canyon

Pics of the air bags. I thought I was going to tear them on all the wash board.

Man are you making me homesick. I grew up in Ridgecrest, and miss the desert something fierce. To me anyway the desert is purely Gods country.

I love the desert. When I first moved out here everyone was talking about desert this desert that. I thought they were crazy. Then I got my first 4x4 and experienced it first hand, then I understood what everyone was talking about. Since that first run at Ocotillo Wells in my ranger I have been hooked! Just need to get the Ranger fixed. The trails a little to tight for the Dodge. Mother in law and wife didn't like their side of the truck being so close to the edge of the cliff.

Thank you!

Great pictures! I need to fire up my rig and go on a long trip before it gets more expensive. Thank you. I'm here in Clairemont by the beach.

Last time I was in Rhyolite was in the 60's there were no fences. You could still walk into the glass bottle house.
Next trip you might want to spend a lil time in the Panamints, just south of the park.A bit less restrictive when it comes to camping.
