Dear God...

On behalf of central Missouri, I'd like to say: "We got it. You can make it snow."

You can turn it off now.

Brian.

Jeeze, I can count all our snow days on one hand in all 12 years, not counting 2 or 3 times they didn't want us walking in 20 below temps. We did play nerf football on those days though.

Your kids sure have it easy down there....They don't close school here unless its 50 below and recess is held outside unless it is colder than 25 below.

Our problem in Missouri is usually the country roads are too slick for the buses or as in some cases at our school they don't have the right stuff to get the driveways, sidewalks and parking lots cleared good enough. they use a mazda pickup with a blade, 2 JD riding mowers with blades and 1 wore out Ford tractor. All that to cover 3 campus sites 14 miles apart Any how the weather forecast keeps changing for my location, now it is up to 6" on top of all the half melted ice. My kids went to school one day this past week and I agree it is not looking too good for monday here either. We have gotten lucky the last few winters and not had it too bad, so I guess we are making up for it now. Everyone stay safe out there and be careful.

Predicting snow this weekend...been awesome this last week, temps have been around 10 above and was up to 17 today. We went ice fishing yesterday, didn't catch any but we had fun driving around the lake. http://www.dnr.state.ak.us/parks/uni...jct/quartz.htm

Don't know if any of you guys have seen these, but we have these on all the busses up here. http://www.onspot.com/

My Sister just moved to a town outside of Joplin, MO about 3 weeks ago. She called me today and they finally got their power on for the first time in a week due to the ice storm from last weekend. They have been living off of a gas powered home depot cheapo generator. Finally got a propane heater installed that helped some since the power had been off. They were just totally unprepared for winter this time since they just moved there, but next year will be a different story.
