I figure it will. I only hope time slows down for you this time around. My daughter is only 4 months old but it seems like it was yesterday that my wife found out she was pregnant.

I have 4 daughters and I actually did that one time, Had 4 or 5 guns spread around the living room in various stages of disassembly. I was amazed that boy never asked my daughter out again, not really, I would have been surprised if he had came back. T-7's wife can vouch that this is the truth. Her sister was mad at me for a day or two. Oh Well!!!

 

She is a sweetie. Pappaw and Nana are proud of her too. But Mom and Dad get the credit. They did Good!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It's funny how a little bundle of smiles can wrap dad around their little fingers so easily . Mine has me double knotted on her finger.

So what is she doing about now besides getting herself wrapped around your little finger and heart strings?
How many days on your shift? I would be going nuts if I could not see her every day, I would be wondering just what I had missed today that she did for the first time.
Be sure to take lots of pictures, lots and lots of pictures.
Get a Digital camera if you don't have one and by all means a video camera. Once she starts crawling, these are the best on video and you will find yourself watching them at night when everyone has gone to bed.
Since she is only 4 months old, that means in only 4 months she will have her very first Christmas. That means you will have to take her to the mall to get her a real cute outfit so you can take her picture under the tree for her first Christmas card.
We are going to expect to see pictures of her all dressed up under the Christmas tree.
This is now a very important times in your life where you will now be spending more time in the toy stores than you will in the parts stores.
I know that you have a job more dangerous than most, do you find yourself being more cautious and not taking un-necessary risk than you did before? Lots of pictures in your locker will insure that.
And I can see you telling your friends don't be so loud because she is sleeping.
Just wait till she says the word "Daddy" or "My Daddy" cause you are going to melt.

Slobbering… A lot! Must be in the pre-teething stage. She has also found her voice so she talks to herself all the time. I find myself standing just outside of her door listening to her have conversations with her stuffed bear.

I work 24 Hrs on and then 48 Hrs off. I’m pretty lucky though. My wife works less than 5 miles away so she brings her by almost every day. The thing I hate the most is dropping her off at day care. It kills my soul to do that. We just recently changed to a new day care and I like it much better. There is a lot of one on one time with her. It is much better.

Already got her one. Though I figure she will get plenty more.

Yes and no. I find myself being a little more conscious of the decisions that I make and what their consequences will be. However, if someone is trapped inside a building, I am going to do anything in my ability to remove them from that situation. If I should die doing my job then I think she will someday be proud of that fact. Small consolation though I guess.

I have been taking better care of myself since she arrived. I would love to be able to embarrass her when she is older.

Yep... wish we could change that but unfortunately we can't. Day care is better than us living on the street though.

Britt, I understand the daycare thing! It kills me. My oldest daughter just turned 2 today (21st.) now when I take her to daycare, man it's like see ya dad she's playing with her friends! I've got a another daughter due 12 Sep. can't wait! I have to agree with an earlier post about just being in denial. Man I dred the dating thing! I wish they would stay about the age mine is now I love this time! Walking, asking questions, talking like crazy (she get's this from her mother!) the 2's are a great time!

Bill what happened with the "switch hitter"? I'm guessing he's not a son-in-law!
