Is everyone sleeping in this dark and dismal morn here in MA? ~30 hours and counting until I pick up my 05 Cummins. "Monday, Monday.....so good to me!" Apologies to the Mamma's & Papa's, well the Mamma & Pappa that's left, for my poor singing voice.

I changed the oil in my 95 yesterday and I'll be pulling out the performance computer and putting back the stocker before I sell it outright today. A nice wash and wax and she'll be ready for the next lucky owner. It's a gasser, but still it couldn't have been more reliable in the 10 years I had it. Life is good. Have a great week, everyone!

 

Been up since 0530.
Ate breakfast, swallowed a cup-o-coffee, took the dogs out, read the paper.
Packed up nice & nephew's belongings and moved them to their new digs.
Gassed up the mower & gettin' ready to "Harvest" the crop.

Heading to Wifey's cousin's in Dale City later for a Beer-N-Burger get together.

Sunny, breezy, n cool.
'Sposed to be like this through Thursday.

sittin here starin at my cpu screen till lunch, then shoot some hoops outside. working 4x10 is nice. only on the 3 days off though, lol. luckily its a sun-wens shift. still out of here at 5 wich is nice.

 

Phew, crisis narrowly averted. Three inch gate valve blew the bonnet gasket out spraying hot water and steam everywhere. What to do what to do? I said "simply close the valve and stop the flow" and they looked at me like I had four heads. Guess what, they tried it and it worked. Duh.
I love my job.

 

Calm heads prevail again. In your job, this is a VERY good thing

 

lol, and i just had a guy on the phone here who had no sound on his desktop machine.
simply asked cust to turn cpu off for 30 sec and turn back on. he sore that wouldnt work. i said well if it doesnt i can route over to get a new sound card because this machine is not reg to you.

he tries the reboot and it works fine now!

I've been in this work since 1973. I am far from knowing everything but a little common sense will go a long way.

'Morning everyone! I'm sitting in my new home in Jenison, Michigan. Took a day off to make it a three-day weekend. My son is visiting this week from Connecticut. I have to leave to go back up to Leelanau County where I'm living in our fiver until I finish the school year and driver education, which will be around July 15. I'm driving down every weekend so far, but with fuel being $2.29, I won't be able to keep up the every-weekend routine for much longer. I don't have much internet access while up north, so my time here is very limited and I'm having a few withdrawal symptoms.

I hope to be able to "talk" to you folks again soon.

Afternoon everybody ...

Sat in class all day today learning the basics of how to "sprechen sie Duetch" and to order food and beer . Still felt like a Monday.

We may have high fuel prices in the states but I sure would hate to be the guy driving the V-10 over here at around $6 a gallon !!

Time for some schnitzel and a beer.

Top of the mornin' to ya! ...... We had 73* plus weather for over a week, the it rained all day yestarday and now at 7:50am there is not a cloud in the sky, gonna be a scortcher ..... O'well the tree's and stuff are greening up like crazy, everything is way early this spring. Finish the cup of java and head to town, the hunting permits are out, time to get crazy!

1pm, and I'm barely waking up after consoling a dear friend who just came out of a bad relationship. Stayed up til 9am, decided to get an hour of shut-eye before I had to get some stuff done, which turned into 4, leaving my other friend stranded at work lunch-less.
