Cummins in a Ford
#121
I have a 1990 Chevy crew cab, srw, with a 12 valve Cummins, NV 4500, NP 205 and a Detroit Locker in the rear. It's been a good truck. "Have" a 04.5 that's been sitting on the plant lot for about 4 weeks.
The Cummins /Chevy is now for sale.
Maybe my new truck will arrive before the 05's are here.

I'am 3rd and my 4 kids are 4th generation Dodge family and I have been thru thick and thin with dodge/chrysler etc. No they havn't been the ginger bread type but I challange anyone to find a more consistent work horse anywhere... I have chipped my teeth with their so called suspension and carried around a ton of anything to keep from hitting the roof on every bump, I've busted my elbow without power steering I traded the interior of my new 1975 sb 360 with the first ever cloth interior of the 1976 Spirit of 76 dodge and bought reverse chrome rims because the stock rims wounld not take a hubcap and cursed the crappy starters but they always did the job! Anybody know where decent drive trains or high performance engines came from? Dodge's first diesel was a real diesel and they quickly relealized it needed a turbo to be any good. More than I can say for the other brands! Then Dodge, whether by design or accident , got together with Cummins and the rest is history. Dodge is improving their Gingerbread goodies every year but the workhorse is still under there doing its job and laughing at the attempts of the rest to catch up..... signed Dyed in the wool faithful DODGE owner, keep up the good work DC!!!!!!!
