CTD vs 79 F-350

Hey fellas,

Need your input on this one.

My brother wants to hook to me. He has a 79, f-350 LWB, 4x4, 4 speed, 400M engine, slightly larger tires than I do. 305's versus 285's. He has AT grip, and I have just regular old street grip. Would it be a good idea to video tape this. Whomever loses will not ever live it down. I think I want to get some grip before hooking to him, just for piece of mind. My truck is in my sig.

he wants to do it on previously harrowed ground, so it will be kinda soft. I am like now way, hard dirt road minimum. I am not hooking on pavement. To much binding and you know what starts to happen to parts..

Before hooking him you should get some better tires and then maybe put some wieght in the bed to make sure it hooks up to the ground real good.

Yup

i hate to say tho, he has you beat in the mass, weight and traction department. You however should have him beat in the TQ depo easily, so if you can put that power to the ground better, id say u can beat him. There was a good thread bout hookin bumpers not too long back, just research and use your brain to beat him...

Tx
