Cranes?
Cranes?
Has any one noticed alot of cranes are falling over all of a sudden i mean one just fell in New york and now one in Miami. I know it hard to work with cranes and stuff but geeze
If you think about it there are probibally 5000+ cranes in use every day, I bet that there is at least one that falls per week, just a guess on my part though. The only one's that you hear about are one's that have bad property damage or loss of life. I know that I have personally seen a crane fall over, no damage to anything but the crane and the item that he was lifting, but it was not even in the local paper. We just called out a wrecker to pick it back up and that was the end of it. Just my .02
Dont Know About The One In Florida - But Watched A Program Where They Were Investigating A Lot Of Them- Seems This Time Of Year Has More Soil That Isn`t Settled And Lets Thrm Get Off Balance- The Computer Can Only Overcome So Much.
No, it's about birds. We have quite a few cranes here at the farm, most of 'em around the pond. I didn't know there was a nation-wide problem with them falling over tho. I just went out an' looked at the ones here, an' they're all still standin' jus' fine. Maybe the ones tippin' over have some kinda 'bird-flu' that effects their equalib... equil... equelab... balance.

.......... nothing like starting my day by laughing so hard, my stomach hurt!
As a side note, crane collapses are almost ALWAYS the result of operator error.
