Cool Coonhounds?

Just out of curiousity, I was wondering if anyone had, or knew of anyone with some coonhounds for sale? To be specific. I'm looking for a Black and Tan or a Bluetick. I would like to find something pretty close, but I dont mind shipping if its not to expensive.

Thanks Tye

I just sold my last bluetick pup had a litter of 10 pups....my female is too old for any more litters and will be retired now

Its music when a bluetick starts on a trail their baying can be heard for miles......and blueticks are great family dogs too very alert with great eye sight and hearing

I have found that hounds need a fenced yard.....because they will wander away if they get any kind of a scent

Blueticks need to be trained with experienced dogs otherwise they mite get on a scent and not return

My male has one of the best cold noses I've ever seen.....he will lead a pack from a cold scent and be the first dog to tree a coon

I had a Black & Tan/Walker mix a few years back and she was one of the best dogs I ever had. I LOVED to here her bay. I have to get rid of my Basset, he's not good with my 2 kids, so I'm pretty depressed about it.

I had a very expensive lawsuit over a coon dog a few years back. (I lost) After that, I had no use for anyone associated with the sport. Since then tho, I've mellowed and now will allow certain folks on my place. (some still get the you're trespassing, my dog, my gun speech).

Wondering about the ramifications in your areas if your dogs get into mischief while out hunting? The above trouble came from a big dog fight in my front yard.

Also wondering, do you still get a fair price for the pelts? I use to make some pretty good money as a kid running trap lines.

I don't plan on hunting him. I'm looking for more of a pet then anything. I live in a farming/ranching community, so the farmers/ranchers are pretty cool here. A lot of them will actually ask/let you hunt there property if take care of there varment problems, coyote/pigs/bobcats, and if you get a permit, lions.

I've had many dogs and all of them would give their life for me and only needed a pat on the head as a reward for a life of dedication to their owner

My Bluetick female was been a house dog for 5 years now......she watches every move I make and sleeps at my feet.....my lady says when I leave in my truck she will bay for 10 mins after I leave.....and hears my truck coming home 1/2 mile away and starts baying again

I had a cat once.....dam thing wouldn't learn to sit.....got rid of it fast
