Jack,
I have noticed something on this site: when viewing a thread, there is no logon/logoff link (button). I am also a member on the 1911 forum, and there is a logon/logoff feature from any thread page - that is very helpful. Would like to see that here, instead of having to return to the main page.

GrandpasRam, I think that is feasible, and fairly easy to do. I'll put it on the to do list.

DTR is #1 for honest, quickly answered responses.

I used to read TDR but found it exasperating getting answers out of them.

Thanks Jack.

I looked at the other sites and really don't care one way or the other about them. I really like this place due to the likeable attitudes. Nice to see all of the military minded folks that frequent the site.

I like it all Jack and really appreciate everything this site represents.

Thanks for the offer to make a wish list. You're already doing a fine job. I would like to see spell-check but not at the expense of slower response. I would also like to see a "Logout" button at each level of the site to make it easier for users to get out when they have to run. A TSB database. An acronym button on the side to allow users to quickly review acronyms when they see one they're unfamiliar with. Thanks again, Nat

Love the site and it is my main CTD site.

Suggestion: Add more how to's for the more novice wrenchers like myself. Example: Valve adjustments, timing ...

Thanks, Srigs

Can't really add anything that hasn't already been said by somebody else so I will just use this as a chance to run up my post count (ala Hoss)

Been hanging out here since early on, having been clued in to this site by somebody else who was also on the TDR at that time. Haven't found a need to go back to the TDR for anything in quite a while - let my subscription there run out several years ago.

The people on this site are what makes the difference.

Style and format of the site are no better or worse than a bunch of other sites I visit but the content and atmosphere really make it stand out.

Would really be nice to setup a "Xerox Member Drive" like TDR (used to?) so we can alert the CTD-driving public to the site.

Keep up the good work.

DTR gets my vote hands down!!!! The reasons are many but can be boiled down to ONE thing, It is the caliber of people in here. I have never been a part of such a large group of people that for the most part, have such a common bond for what I feel is right in life, and are not afraid to speak their minds about it, (exception to this is Hoss' affinity toward concrete bedliners).

As far as what could be added, the TSB issue has already been raised.

Great job to you Jack, and all of the other admins and moderators which make this site the great place that it is.

This site is my fave. My only issue is that my camera (6.2 MP) takes huge pics (file size), so to get them down to the allowed size is too much of a pain to even bother. I guess that's my own fault though.

This is the best site out there Jack. Glocktalk is my next favorite. The thing I like the most is the people and their patience. Flaming is kept to a minimum and in a friendly way usually. One site that I've visited a lot on a different topic is shotgunworld, the thing on it, is there is so much name calling and brand wars going on that it's hard to pick out much usable info. Here, the same question can be asked 1,000 times without people getting upset, they usually just answer the question and then post the link to a good thread on the subject. Also people will ask questions about other brands even though this is primarly a Dodge/cummins site and people will still answer to the best of their ability. The best thing is that it is family friendly. Thanks too you and all the moderators for your hard work and for all the members who keep it that way.

Somehow I missed this thread . Guess Im spending too much time at work

Anywho, this is the first forum site I ever belonged too(not a big internet guy) and also first diesel site. Definately like the way yall run the place and the attitude of guys around here.

I do have one suggestion...........maybe breaking up the performance/accessories pages a little bit more.

maybe even 4x4/offroading page

Thanks for the great site Jack

Jeff

I thought of another idea maybe the icon you choose can only be for that screenname or customizable icons so I can tell by site of your icon who you are like how I recognize people by the vehicle they drive most of the time.
just adding a couple cents to the pot
