Coastal hay square bales

I'm looking around for prices/availability for coastal hay. I'm looking for the small square bales. We are needing some and our local feed store has told me they are searching for some so I figured I might pick up some for myself and supply the feed store while I'm at it. My place is in Hillsboro but I'm living in College Station, TX but if there is a benefit I'm willing to travel pretty far for it, granted I can pick up enough to jusitfy the trip. I have access to a gooseneck and IIRC I can fit 150-200 bales. So lets hear how much coastal square bales are in your area. Thanks.

DON"T come to the Dallas area.....most places are $8 and up, and even more at the feed stores. I have found that hay is cheaper south of Waco.

PM AggieJustin and he might be able to help you.

Hey Crobtex, looks like you're a horse person (I know, equestrian). How about Alfalfa? Is there a demand for alfalfa in your area, if so about how much? I have contacts and can prbably get some for a descent price if there is enough demand.

Just bought 40 bales for sis in law last week for $4.50/bale at Chachere's Feed Store in Dayton, Tx... Might swing ya a better deal for larger quantities.

Well I'd be more than happy since I'm in the middle of DFW and Houston to run a lil route if it is worth my time. College isn't free.

Charlie knows this first hand unfortunately.

Shoot me a PM if you want some from the Katy area, Cheaper than $8
But just at the edge of Dallas we have to go higher than that now.

The US Dept of Agriculture has outlawed all those round bales of hay today....

Seems the livestock were not getting a square meal
