Chicken poop

Now this isn't what many of us have had to deal with in the past or are presently dealing with. This is the REAL stuff.
Dried chicken litter minus the rice hulls/shavings weighs how much per cubic yard? Anyone have a clue? I know it weighs 2000 lbs per ton, unless it's a metric ton. I also know how big a cubic yard is. Some of us Arkies are edumicated and work for the gubment.
I've got a chance to get a bunch for $7 a ton and trying to figure which way will be the cheapest to haul.

I have no idea why I am responding to "chicken poop" ... But, how much do you have to hual? Why not take your truck have them load it up (if they have a loader) drive home and shovel it out. I haul 3500lbs worth of sand every fall in my truck. (sand is for the best built driveway in the world for alaskan winter conditions )

I hope the chicken poop is for farming needs.

With SR, it's a little hard to tell. Might be part of an initiation rite he has planned or something.

Best guess I can make on weight is "less than gravel," which last time I checked was in the neighborhood of 2500 lbs/cubic yard.

I would say its somewhere around the density of top soil. Its going to depend mostly on moisture content.

I wouldn't haul it in the truck bed. You'll regret it later. All manure is corrosive. Some worse than others. Plus the smell is nasty on a hot day.

He's probably gonna unload it on the OIC's desk and car interior.

When I opened this thread, I knew deep down inside that I would get a wealth of information. The only question is how much of it would be usable?
I'm using it in the garden. For the uninformed, dry stuff is easier to incorporate into the soil. The wet stuff is better for getting the blood pressure up on those you wish to share it with (inside a vehicle or desk drawer, for example).
Since I have very limited knowledge of the direct personnal application of chicken poop, having been mostly on the end resulting from higher level application of said product, I'm thinking the weight would be close to what mulch would be.
Any thoughts, other than this subject stinks, or that I'm full of poop?
