The Mega Cab is gone for the new body style. That doesn't mean the Mega Cab is gone next year though... I think the current body style will remain on the HD's until at least the 2010 model year.

The question is when/if the HD trucks switch to this body style will the Crew Cab get a long bed. All the info that has been 'leaked' out is for the 1500's only. Coil-over rear suspension... won't be on the HD's.

I guess we'll know more after the official announcement.

outside, I liked it.

they lost me on the interior... I do NOT want bucket seats in a truck. Call me what you like, I prefer to have my woman sitting RIGHT beside me.

No Cummins UNTIL 2010.

Grill is no longer attached to the hood.

In my opinion I think it looks like a cross between a Toyota Tundra, and a Lincoln Navigator, and I will be buying one.

Yeah, but that's only on the 1500 models. There's no reason to think the HD trucks will have a break in CTD availability.

That front suspension is straight out of the Jeep TJ series.

I am currently building some control arms and other parts for a project truck, and that is what I get to look at for a couple hours, every time I go to do some more work on it.

Not sure how well it will hold up under a 1/2 ton, and probably won't happen worth beans in a bigger truck. Definitely won't hold up under a diesel, unless its a Dmax

True, true. Sorry about that. You won't be able to get a Cummins Diesel in the 1/2'ers untill the '10 MY.

Pind, Front Suspension? I must have missed those pics.... The rear is a 4-link w/coils. The aftermarket is going to go NUTS! LOL.

wow, sorry, I made a mistake. Thats even better. A REAR suspension that is identical to the front end of a TJ. can't wait to see the load capacity of that mess. *gigglesnirt*

I do not like it a whole lot. Can't stand the front end that leans forward, looks like they robbed the mustang's front end and incorporated a Ram front end.....Why are they going to floor mounted shifters in these trucks now, I like a column shifter?!

Too bad they lowered the fender wells for aerodynamics. Big fender wells were always a great feature on Ford and Dodge. Looks like the new MPG regulations are really taking effect. Bed boxes are pretty cool though.

Edmunds.com has some video and a quick review from the 'official' debut of the truck - Ha - a cattle drive through the streets of Detroit - how quaint...

Seems that console is optional on at least the base model 1500s - from what it said, sounds like you won't be able to get a stick anymore if you order a hemi. That console is ugly as hell though I think, Don't get me wrong I love mine - but it also lifts up. You need the three person seating in a truck, I like my girls to sit right next to me.

I'll have to pass on that one for awhile. I'm glad I bought my '07 when I did. I suppose the truck industry needs to move more product, but I'm not feeling the car influences all the manufacturers are using (Bucket seats, Console shifter, heated rear seats). Also, the bed storage devices and 5'7" bed are for the birds. Maybe the 2500 and up trucks will be better....

For my money, Toyota can't come out with an HD diesel fast enough now.
