Canadian Meds?

After some checking it looks like I can get a 90 day supply of a prescription medication from a Canadian company for the same price of a 30 day supply here in the US.

Has anyone here ever had any bad experience ordering medication from across the border?

all the time....of course I live there......apparantely the drugs here are the same but they are cheaper, mainly due to Government regulation. I understand that the big U.S. drug companies are tying to stop the influx of Canadian drugs as its really starting to cut into their profits....get 'em while they're hot...

Second that.... FDA is beginning to crack down on ordering due to government (read big biz) pressure. I've found no difference between getting the meds here in Canada or in the US as far as effectiveness. Go for it. Since you're in Wash, wouldn't be much to zip up across the border to get it at the local pharmacy, too.

Believe it or not................The state of Minnesota has opened wa webpage so we CAN order drugs from Canada. Seems kinda funny that the drug companies can sell the drugs to Canadian Pharmacies and we can re-import them cheaper than we can buy them here..........................

It will be really funny when the drug companies stop developing new drugs because there's no money in it.

You dont really believe that do you??? Have you ever seen the kind of profits the drug companies make??? Bottom line is that they charge what they do because people rarely have any other options....

Do you really believe that drug companies would develop new drugs for free just because they are nice people?

Nobody said anything about developing drugs for free.

There is a big difference between PROFIT and RIPPING PEOPLE OFF, to the point that those who need drugs cant afford them....the sad reality is that people die because they cant afford the drugs they need....

Not really, it all depends on your perspective. In my country prices are still set by the market, not by the government, although the socialists in both parties are working on changing that. A fair price is a price that people are willing to pay.

I agree.....but my point is that many, many people simply cannot afford to pay the "fair" price and their health and lives suffer because of it.

Incidentally, Canada is quickly adopting an Americanized system....it wont be long before our Health Care System is very similar to what you guys south of the border have...

I just hate to see the americans having to pay the development costs ,while the products are sent to other countries and sold for much less. Kinda makes you feel cheated. What about tax breaks and so on that are given to these companies and made up for by american taxpayers. Then we pay the rest of the frieght.

All of our free health care up here is paid for with our high taxes on our earned income.
Since when does the USA have the stronghold on developing the drugs? A little research may surprise you where some of the drugs are developed. Check out the sister companies of some of the larger pharmaceutical companies in the USA. In order to beat a lot of taxes many companies set up branches in other countries.
Check provinces like Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba...as well as the others...lots of shelter companies and drug manufacturers for the USA parent companies.
